Violent paintings of business men in suits?

Question

Back in the early 90s, I worked with an attorney who introduced me to the work of an artist who (at least at that time) was creating paintings that depicted businessmen in suits in violent scenes.

The two I remember clearly were (1) two men in dark blue suits fistfighting... one guy had the other by the tie and they were pummeling each other, and (2) a man hanging by his necktie, as if by a noose.

I can't remember the artist's name, so I'm hoping someone can help me. I know if I hear the correct name, I'll know it. As I recall, his wasn't a common surname.

I could easily be mistaken, but I seem to recall the artist's name being something like Borko or Boiko or Bierko or something along those lines.

Can anyone help me with this one?

I think that's a completely reasonable question to ask.

I'm mainly interested in this artist's could probably be best attributed to my long fascination with horror (movies, literature, etc.) as well as to many years of working in the corporate arena, specifically in law firms in NYC and Florida. While it isn't an exact correlation, something about this artist's images of men in suits in scenes of violence reminds me of Bret Easton Ellis' "American Psycho" (the book, not the terrible film adapation).

You must be thinking of Robert Longo and his series called "Men in the Cities" from the 1980's. It's a fascinating series, not only because they're drawn very well, but because of the emotion that comes through. You really get the sense that there's an internal conflict within each figure that stems from the pressures of the corporate world; or just from balancing work and life in general.

I don't know but I love it. I've often thought that business suits have replaced suits of armor and that modern businessmen are just as violent as medieval knights. (and somewhat less chivalrous)

I don't know the artists(?) name, but I do wonder what the fascination would be. I'm interested to know, not bashing you for asking.
