It is true that English is by far the predominate language. However, there is a healthy Acadian community, so you will find French spoken, particularly in parts of Cape Breton and along the very southwest coast (sometimes known as the French Shore). Also in Cape Breton is the Gaelic College, where you can still learn Gaelic (and might hear a smattering of it in the area).

Well the official languages are English and Canadian Gaelic (dialect of Scots Gaelic, *Cape Breton*). Next to that there is a fair amount of French. Major though, definitely English.

English...only 4.3% of Nova Scotians speak French so even though there are french communities, it is definitely NOT a predominate language in our province.
