Okay, I have heard alot of things about how God is not against homosexuality. In Leviticus 18:22 though it says "You shall not lie with a male as with a women. It is an abomination." seems pretty clear that he is against it. So how do the homosexual christians get around this, are there any verses supporting that God is not against homosexuality? = /

Mike, they only "get around" it in their own mind. God is not fooled. His Word stands.

Look what the Episcopal church is going through because they strayed from God's Word! Their homosexual bishop is essentially ripping the church apart by his mere presence as a bishop. Their main person (Shori) even claims that homosexuality is "a gift from God." She is a heretic!

God will not be mocked by such hypocrisy as that.

God bless you for speaking up!

God forbids homosexuality in the Bible. If u look at Romans 1:26-27 u can clearly see that he hates such behaviour and there is no verses in the Bible that he supports homosexuality.

the bible is left up to interpretation which is why religions on the same book can be so diversified. if you take your chosen verse literally and don't try to read into it, is seems pretty cut and dry... God does not approve. However... to strengthen your point you would need something else to back it up.... i can not quote a verse or even where to find it other than to say that in the bible somewhere, it talks about sex being between man and woman and that semen should not be spilled and that it is for man and woman to enjoy and make babies.... obviously it doesn't say those exact words either... i am gonna research it and get back with you... cause i am sure the answers are gonna have a field day with what i have said... :-)

They are not really Christian. True Christians flee from sin they don't stay in it! They obviously haven't read their Bibles.

Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor HOMOSEXUALS, nor sodomites, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God. 1 Cor. 6:9-10

Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, FORNICATIONS, uncleanness, LEWDNESS, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. Gal. 5:19-21

But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, SEXUALLY IMMORAL, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.” Rev. 21:8

For this reason God gave them up to vile passions. For even their women exchanged the natural use for what is against nature. Likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing WHAT IS SHAMEFUL, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due. Rom. 1:26-27

There isn't any verses that support homosexuality in the Bible. Most will claim the teachings against homosexuality were a cultural thing and do not apply to us today.

In the Present Day Christianity the Holy Fathers and Priests had this vile act with hundreds of children all over USA and still remain Holy and in the posts of Priests.

They think paying some money (that too taken from the fathful as Charity and not from their own pockets) to the affected shall wipe off their sins.

Do you want to follow them or the True Christianity which Forbids this Vile Act?

I would say that you cant be a real christian if you are a homosexual. It states very clearly in the Bible that it is an abomination in the sight of the Lord.

As with all things in the Bible, a lot of the verses are up for interpretation.

There are no direct lines that state two men shall not have sex together.

Also, Duetronomy speaks of stoning disobedient children and men who rape women should marry the women whom they've raped and the woman should have to pay a fine for being raped or something along those lines.

A lot of things in the Bible that applied back then may/may not apply today. You have to understand that back in those times there was a very different thinking that today seems laughable or even evil to some extents.

The Bible was written by man but INSPIRED by God. It's the ultimate message of loving one another and being a good person that should prevail, not the word for word context.

until eventually now 1946 they have been Sodomites, and Lesbians, additionally stated as Amazons, in derogatory slang Dikes, and the masculine counterpart for that insult became Fag or *****, so there have been descriptions, yet none of them have been positive, aside from what became implied sometimes with "previous Bachelor" or "Spinster"/"previous Maid", with human beings figuring out directly to no longer marry the choice intercourse, as became to no longer their style, they might somewhat proceed to be single(sometimes implied no longer constantly a gay nature). Homosexuality is as previous as devil, as he orchestrated it to offend God actual from the commencing up alongside with Rape, Bestiality, Sacrificing Newborns, Orgies(Gamorrites, or with courtesy defined Hedonists), Peor god worship(Oral intercourse), and Temple prostitution to assuage the "gods", and their followers, Druidism(mutually with all witchery), none of those issues are new under the solar, Homosexuality is likewise Biblically stated as "the giving and taking of many marriages as in Noah's day" which meant no person had any regard for the classic marriage of a guy and woman. The Bible additionally speaks of ladies shouldn't dress up and act like men, that's yet differently of speaking approximately Lesbians pursuing women as "man made men", no longer a strict dress code like some denominations have self assurance. Leviticus 18:22 and 20:thirteen Romans a million:26 1st Corinthians 6:9-11 1st Kings 14:24 15:12 2d Kings 23:7 Deuteronomy 23:17-18 Revelation 22:15(implied) and Genesis 19:4-5 Jude 7 Judges 19:22(Gilbeah) are some passages that take care of Homosexuality/Prostitution the two known "fake god worship" like I suggested because of the fact the very commencing up, no longer long after Cain, and mutually as we are translating sin "looking upon a father's nakedness" is incestuous family members with the mummy(father's nakedness loosely translated back to Hebrew), there is somewhat some words that choose translation to their Hebrew/Greek awareness to be good understood. i wish this would not weigh down you donkey, Peace to you and yours.

Yes, also read the Book of Romans on this issue.

Also read about Sodom and Gomorah.

There is no mistake on this issue.

But God loves everyone, regardless of your sin.

He hates the sin, but loves the sinner.

The entire Leviticus chapter has been translated out of context. The rules of Leviticus was at a time when paganism was very much the norm. In many pagan temples, sexuality and sexual acts were seen as an offering. In cases like these temple attendants were available to assist worshipers with their offerings. Leviticus rules about sexuality are partly in reference to this, and the paganism component. However, that little tidbit of information got lost in translation. With that being said homosexuality gives me the willies, but I not going to tell anyone that God hates them or condemns them for something they can't control.
