You must hate non-Christians, women, non-Caucasians, non-Anglo Saxons, non-Americans, non-ultra-conservatives, non-ultra-rich people, non-heterosexuals, anyone who believes in freedom of worship, speech, expression, assembly, or the press, anyone who isn't pro-gun, anyone who isn't pro-war, anyone who isn't pro-death penalty, anyone who isn't anti-abortion, anyone who isn't anti-euthanasia, anyone who creates or appreciates art of any kind, anyone who's ever had any kind of higher education, and anyone who doesn't hate every single one of the preceding kinds of people.

You must believe faith = money, and the richer someone is, the more God loves them, and the poorer someone is, the more God hates them.

You must never do anything to help those less fortunate than you in any way, for any reason, at any time, because they are God's enemies, and you will become an enemy of God too if you do. You must believe God's enemies are not human beings, but living piles of Satan's feces. And you must destroy them.

You must believe big business is God on earth, and it can do whatever it wants, and you must be part of it. You must believe government exists to destroy God's enemies and empower corrupt businesses.

And you must pretend to be sorry for all your evil deeds. Note: no matter what you do, it's not evil if you scream "Jesus Jesus Jesus" while doing it.

The tenents of the Christian faith are not determined by consensus; nor are they up for revision. Theology is from God, not man-made.

The three Ecumenical Creeds are the Apostle's Creed, the Nicene Creed & the Athanasian Creed. You can find them here: http://www.lcms.org/pages/internal.asp?NavID=582.

Church bodies that hold to these creeds in belief & practice are considered Christian. Some of these church bodies, however also hold to some heterodoxical teachings or practices. These churches are still considered Christian, but are heterodox. Church bodies who openly do not hold to these creeds (e.g. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Jehovah's Witness, etc.) are heretical, so they are not considered Christian.

Is that objective enough for you? Many Christians don't know enough about their own faith to tell you that, so that's why a person has a hard time finding "consensus" among Christians, but there is an objective measuring stick, if you will, to judge whether a church body is Christian or not.

The bible says God gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believes on Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.(Romans 14:12)
As it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment.(Hebrews 9:27)
Apparently, the main belief is to have Christ in one's heart, and once He is there, all other things will fall into place. You will read the Word more, discern more, and hopefully be spiritually healthy. But the main belief should be in Jesus, not religion or a long" to do "list
*I feel very bad for you 'sky-king', because a Godless" society says:
Kill babies
Have sex with animals because they are so called just like us
Animals first
Get rid of the Ten Commandments so we as Human, moral beings, can have no morals, and have "freedom"
Lets move Christmas carols from the books because they are so like Christ
Party all night long, and drink and drive and have sex before marriage, then wonder who you slept with the night before or who gave you crabs,
Did I miss anything?

This is our Catholic belief, and what we stand and recite at Mass every Sunday:

We believe in one God,
the Father, the Almighty,
maker of heaven and earth,
of all that is, seen and unseen.

We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ,
the only son of God,
eternally begotten of the Father,
God from God, Light from Light,
true God from true God,
begotten, not made,
one in being with the Father.
Through him all things were made.
For us and for our salvation
he came down from heaven:
by the power of the Holy Spirit
he was born of the Virgin Mary,
and became man.
For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate;
he suffered, died and was buried.
On the third day he rose again
in fulfillment of the Scriptures;
he ascended into heaven
and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
He will come again in glory
to judge the living and the dead,
and his kingdom will have no end.

We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life,
who proceeds from the Father and the Son.
With the Father and the Son
he is worshipped and glorified.
He has spoken through the prophets.
We believe in one, holy, catholic and apostolic Church.
We acknowledge one baptism for the forgiveness of sins.
We look for the resurrection of the dead,
and the life of the world to come. AMEN.

consensus has nothing to do with The Salvation Message... God makes The Rules... play by God's Rules...or...ultimatly... you lose

All who come to God in The Way He prescribes will receive his free gift of Salvation. Those become part of The Body of The Church of which Jesus The Christ is The Head. Those are the ones of The True Chirstian Faith. Only those of The Church will enter heaven.

It must be in The Way God prescribes... man does not get to make up his own way to God.

My GOODNESS there are some hateful people on here. Christians have to hate everyone? WOW.

For the record, I agree with Catholic Crusader. I think they summed it up nicely. Oh, and I'm not Catholic.

The Apostle's Creed is used in some variation in every Christian denomination.

The question should include the word "SAVED". In order to be saved, once must accept Christ's sacrifice as payment in full for their sins and then confess their sins to Him.

That is what it takes to be a Christian AND to be saved.

God bless!

enable me start up by skill of asserting that's a demanding question to answer through fact it takes under consideration, maximum of distinctive ideals and religions suddenly. yet i'll aim and ruin it down for you as superb as i will. For the main area maximum Christian’s rather differs as to how they view this question. each and every of the communities you reported above agree that there is a God. in spite of the shown fact that, who's and what He did is the question for debate right here. enable me clarify, Jews believe there is one God and his call is so holy that it could't be reported. they do no longer sense that the messiah (Jesus) has already come, yet they are waiting for his arrival on account that they believe they are God's chosen human beings. then you definately've the Muslims who serve Allah and believe that Jesus replaced right into a prophet, yet he's not the son of God through fact God won't be able to have offspring. ultimately you have the various branches of Christianity and that they are divided into 2 communities. those 2 communities are those that believe interior the Trinity, and people who do no longer believe in it. the everyday public of Christians fall into the 1st group, and that they believe that God who's Jesus got here to earth in human type, and died for our sins, and because if this we've forgiveness of sins. then you definately've the 2d group of Christians who believe that God and Jesus are 2 distinctive human beings. God created Jesus and then despatched His son to die for our sins. As for the Hindus it is to my information that they believe in a single authentic God, yet in addition they nicely known distinctive mini-gods.Is that surprising? interior each and every of those communities it is easy to work out the confusion, yet like I reported formerly there is basically one God, and you may enable each and every Christian, Jew, Muslim, or Hindu enable you recognize for his or herself how she or he feels approximately others who profess to serve their God, yet isn't of their faith. So quickly the respond on your question is that the respond given would desire to be sure, or no relying on which man or woman you ask, and which group they seem to be a ingredient of to no count if or no longer they serve an identical or a distinctive God.
