PEPPERED MOTH: not all animals evolve the way you'd expect. For example, you should have evolved into an intelligent creature, and apparently it hasn't happened yet

This is something I've done some thinking about, and your question put it into new light for me. Thinking from a logical stand-point, why would you want to change if it means that you can no longer reproduce with your fellows. All of these micro-evolutions took place so that individuals have better chances of reproducing, so why would they stray from the center to the point that reproduction is impossible. The logic behind it doesn't make since. The spiritual side can no doubt provide a more sensical answer to your question, but that's what I have.

the peppered moth story is a perfect example of scientists enforcing and correcting each other. that's the beauty of science. if something is wrong, it will soon be identified and corrected. the conclusions are altered to fit the facts, whereas with creation, the facts are altered to fit their conclusion
EDIT: to the person above me, you say you are a biochemist and don't believe in evolution. what kind of biochemist are you?? do you think you are smarter than 99% of the worlds biochemists, biologists, paleontologists, chemists, physicists, etc that do believe in evolution??? what makes you so smart that you have an answer no other 'real' scientist on this planet has?? you are not a biochemist after asking that ridiculous question of mitochondria??? you don't even know where mitochondria came from, HA HA HA!!!

Yup, about the same answer that you get with a bit of reading. Good question!
And yes the peppered moth is a reasonable example of micro-evolution - uh wait macro = micro, so it's a good example of evolution.

Micro and macro evolution are just the extremes of what is in effect a continuum of ever-increasing degrees of change. They only exist as terms because people like to pin labels on things to help their understanding of something.

Clearly either biologists are agents of Satan or Satan is manipulating biological processes to make it appear that God didn't magically poof all life into existence in its present forms. Isn't it obvious?

"macro-evolution" and "micro-evolution" aren't normally part of the vocabulary of paleontology or biology. That's mostly a rhetorical distinction exclusive to young-Earthers.

you got 2 answers..and you don't even know if these people know anything about biology
i am a biochemist and i do not believe in evolution....you can have similarities in nature, showing a good template of design, without it meaning that one creature came from another one.
for example.....mitochondria in plants, as in other eukaryotes, which includes man, play an essential role in the cell as the major producers of ATP via oxidative phosphorylation.
does this mean we came from plants? I think not.....!!
