...but actually...GOD?
...and that, as per the Bible, Satan had not killed but a few people?
In the Bible, God kills, decimates, lays waste and burns whole towns, including men, women and children. Furthermore, he commands his "chosen people" to exterminate other people, and to not interbreed with infidels (Heil Jehovah).
...Satan? He deceives people, at best.

Satan killed 11 people in the Bible and that was because God let him. God on the other hand killed countless millions of people, including children.

Yup.
I felt like I was following the wrong god. Then after looking at a number of other religions, I found out that those were all the wrong gods too. In fact, when looking at it, I began to look for other means to explain my existence... and it started to make sense when I stopped looking in Mythological texts and started paying attention in my science classes.

Satan doesn't even really deceive people.....he tries to get them to turn against God.
That seems like a good idea, given God's personality in the Bible.

I said "Nah, other atheist are just bashing the bible. They should be more respectful." (This was when I was just becoming an atheist). I then actually re-read parts of the bible, and I said "Holy religious blinders! How could I have swallowed that this was good all these years?"

I considered Satanism, before determining that such a God is either unfit for worship or must truly be the invention of man. Then I did research.
Atheist.

Don't blame God.
Modern day example is New Orleans. Is it God's fault the city is in ruins? No, its the idiots that dance around each year and expose themselves to each other on Ash Wednesday.

Okay, just don't forget how brutally savage the Assyrians, Babylonians & Egyptians(to name a few) were in the names of their gods as well.

wrong. God patiently puts up with alot of sin and rebellion.....when they refuse to repent....he does not punish...but he removes his protection and allows the enemies to come in and do this.....the enemies, by the way, are guided by satan
the only way to stay in God's protection is to obey him
