Not exactly.

Most who answer are utterly christian centric, who have no knowledge about other world religions and various Gods followed by various communities (each claiming theirs being the only true God/s). These people are like frogs in the well for whom their own religion is the only thing they see....evidently most are born into the faith and naturally endorse their own faith (how childish).

Most may even believe that the earth is flat only because its written in the Bible. These people have no thinking of their own and have been parroting what generations have said throughout the centuries without any scientific explanation.

I consider all answers from y/a to simply be opinion from other seekers. The answers that are respectful I give a lot more consideration to. I would say that some answers have actually helped me to look at things a little differently because they have shown light on a subject that interested me.
No matter what, without respect, there is no communication.

there was a stretch when i answered all god questions with the same answer. oddly, i received best answers for two diff questions with the following sentence....

"the god myth is a delusion of our culture, bordering on a type of mental illness that clouds the learning and curiosity of our young. for the love of god, get your head out of your ***."

make no mistake, if you actually truly believe in the classic omnipotent god model, i'm sorry to say, you are crazy without a clue.

Not once.

But I keep coming back...I think I just enjoy the debates.

If it has changed my way of thinking...it has made me question religion and god even more than I did before I came here and push me closer to being an atheist than an agnostic...

As with face-to-face conversation, this forum is simply a manner to converse with others. Have my opinions changed? No. Have I heard from a broader spectrum of people? yes. I'm always interested in what others have to say. One day, I may find these responses/querys have produced a change in me.

Yes. Most of the answers I get are wrong, but I have gotten useful information to my religious questions here.

Yes, about a year ago. I had a question about why, in the tomb of Jesus, the body cover was in disarray, but the head cloth was neatly folded. I got the answer.

Not very often, but I'm always optimistic. I have read some food for thought here once in a while.
