Hm....ok, do a seek for this answer because it is asked many circumstances a week. yet i'm going to provide you a private answer as i'm constantly wanting to help out those drawn to aviation. at the start, i might recommend going to an element one hundred thirty five FBO and get your certificates there. it is extra personable and extra much less costly than going to a large, overpriced flight academy (ATP, DCA, etc..). Plus you will not have a youthful instructor basically attempting to get hours at a large academy, the mummy and pa education is right IMO. Flying for company or shape takes many hours, around 2,000 are the minutes IIRC. So once you get your multi-comm pass get a job, perhaps regionals or maybe some thing else, that may not pay a lot yet atleast you would be getting paid to fly. Even CFI is a stronger thank you to pass. maximum, yet not all, agencies will type-fee you in a twin turbine once you have adequate hours geared up in a twin quicker...saving you some funds. while it is all suggested and accomplished seem to spend around seventy 5-100grand based the place you practice for all of the mandatory certs. additionally evaluate preserving your self in solid wellness as you will could desire to finally bypass a prevalent type medical to be %. Like i discussed above, undergo in concepts you will spend substantially much less going the FBO course, and you have an identical airmen cert which you may get from ERAU, or the likes, for much less funds to be in debt with. If I left something out I exhibit regret, i've got had an extremely long day and that i'm typing speedy. solid success!

All depends on the time you put into it. Some persons live busy lives and it takes them over a year, some do it in a month or two, and few in two weeks. You may want to add on another week for the time it takes to get the student pilot's license and medical done.

Unless things have changed when I earned my P.P. license, you need to take a physical by an FAA doctor. You have to have that before an instructor call allow you to solo and aircraft. Net you will need to get the written test out of the way. Usually by going to a ground school. Next, You will need at least 20 hrs. duel instruction by a certified flight instructor, and 20 hrs. solo flight, which includes a cross country flight of 150 miles and a short cross country flight.

My boyfriend is training right now, and before you can qualify to get your licencse, you have to have so many "flight hours" clocked. I don't think it is in days, months or years, it all depends on how much you you fly during that period of time.
