Ok, so this last week I worked out 5 days. 3 of the days I did weight lifting and then 30 minutes on the tred mill at a speed of 3.0 and an incline of about 7.5. The other days I did just cardio for 45 minutes speed of 3.0 and incline of 8. I am eating for breakfast 3 egg whites and a little form of carbs either a piece of wheat toast or a very small amount of hasbrowns. For lunch I normally have a turkey on wheat sandwhich with low fat may and a small amount of cheese for snacks I have carrots, oranges, and apples. Then for dinner I have a piece of chicken breast plain, i put tomato sauce with crushed red peppers and chopped garlic then on top I put a small amount of low at cheese and broil. The previous week when i wasn't doing weight lifting i lost 5 pounds this week (my first week weight lifting) I have only lost 1/2pound. What did I do wrong?

Also, I make sure to eat the required 1200 calories per day. I want to lose weight and keep it off. Before I started losing weights I had already lost 36 pounds :)

Run faster with no incline. Keep your heart rate up higher for a longer period of time. Slow down to 3.0 when needed but tr to maintain your heart rate at a higher level. Eat small amounts through out the day and don't lift weights till the weight starts to drop off more.

Okay...I only started five Mondays ago and All I do is walk one hour every morning. I wear a calorie counter monitor to loose weight by the numbers. I have already lost two pant size and 27 pounds. I am a woman and have three kids and this is the method I use when I gain weight.. I am now at a size two and everyone is always amazed that I have had three kids. This is what I do below when I throw on a few extra pounds. It always works..No diet pills, no energy drinks..just me walking and getting the water I need. Of course I watch what I eat and the Lean Cuisine meals are great for that since the calories per box are 180 to 380 per box. Just make sure you eat healthy every three to four hours so your body will perform at its max.

Here it is:

Helpful Tips for weight loss:

1)A good way to loose weight is to use a calorie counter watch

Keep to a 1,200 food intake

Add 1,200 plus 3,500 (equals one pound of fat) ...and that is the total amount of calories you need to burn each day. Its actually really easy once you start watching the numbers and it doesn't seem like work or exercise. Its just a matter of changing the way you think about loosing weight.

I use this method when i gain some pounds. The first time I did this I went from 168 to 127

2) Most people do not get enough water in their system. Water is your body's principal chemical component, comprising, on average, 60 percent of your weight. Every system in your body depends on water. For example, water flushes toxins out of vital organs, carries nutrients to your cells and provides a moist environment for ear, nose and throat tissues.

Lack of water can lead to dehydration, a condition that occurs when you don't have enough water in your body to carry out normal functions. To determine if you are getting enough water use this simple formula.. Take your weight, for example 150 pounds and divide by 2. Take your answer which is 75 lbs and change it to ounces, in this case 75 ounces. That is how many ounces of water you need a day. Your body performs mostly on water. If you make sure you get enough water everyday your body will perform at top notch and your body will no longer have the cravings of junk food. You will have a better performing body system to help you work out and feel better thru out your day.

Here is what you need to do if you are serious about losing weight and keeping it off. Eat 6 small meals a day about every 4 hours. Here what that will do for you, your metabolism will increase (i.e. Lose weight) and you will have more energry.

If you go on a diet and eat less, your metabolism will slow down and store to fat. That is why diets dont work. Only the size of your fist, carbs (examples:baked potato, pasta, oatmeal, beans, corn, melon, apples, fat free yogurt, whole wheat breads) in one and protein (examples:chicken breast, swordfish, shrimp, turkey breast) in the other. You can also eat vegetables and salads with any meal, they dont have any or little fat). 30min cardo exercise every day. Any of these(examples: walking, jogging, swimming, running, biking, ect), Monday cardo, tues upper body (arms: curls, tricep extensions, pull ups, front press)(abdominals: leg pull crunch, leg raises), (chest: bench press, butterfly, pullover)(shoulders: front press, arm pullover, cross country skier machine)(back:seated row, lat pull downs, back extension) (YOU DONT HAVE TO DO IN ONE DAY, mix it up) wed cardo, thurs lower body (legs: leg pull, leg press, squats, lounges) fri cardo, sat upper. So your body doesnt go into starvation mode, YOU NEED TO TAKE SUNDAY OFF.

If you stick with this you will have a great body. also drink a least 8oz of water daily! Stay away from Mcdonalds, Wendys, etc because there is nothing good for you on the menus - even the salads are bad (bacon bits, cheese, dressing, etc)

Good Luck :)

Lifting weights builds muscle. Muscle weighs more than fat. You may be losing fat, but your muscle gain outweighs the fat loss. Don't fall in the trap of measuring your progress with only a scale. Your physical measurements and how you feel are much better indicators than just your weight alone. The bottom line is this: are you healthier and slimmer than before?

And remember, true progress takes more than a week or two. Be patient and keep at it. Good luck!

We all wish to lose weight fast, but the truth of the matter is that it takes time. Your actually doing good. Eat healthy and avoid drinking any sodas or energy drinks they are saturated with sugar. Biking is also a very good way to lose weight. The tred mill is good... understand that when your running you don't get the same affects as if you where walking briskly. Keep up the good work, more power to you!:)

you are doing nothing wrong. you probably added some muscle mass to you. muscle weighs more that fat. heres the thing though. i would eat 6 smaller meals a day rather than 3 larger meals. you seem to be eating too little. which is a huge mistake. here is the thing that people do not realize. when your body is hungry the first thing that your body goes for to get energy is your muscles and not your fat storage. so if you eat six smaller meals a day it will give your body more energy and better muscle mass. I dont know if you are going for muscle but it will tone your body and slim your waistline. hope this is kind of a start. you are doing fine though.

You have done nothing wrong and you are on scheadule to continue losing weight as long as your frame will allow it. Your body has just compensated from the initial shock of beginning the workout process. Every pound you lose will be harder then the previous. But your body and mind will also be able to help you accomplish your tasks as your body and routine become more effiecient. Your diet is excellent and workout scheadule is adequete for a beginner. Just remember to mix things up when things begin to get easier or stale, push yourself, and stay focused.

you didn't do anything wrong. some weeks you lose a lot and others you don't lose anything. just keep eating right and exercising and you'll lose. also, if you work out a lot with weights, you are probably losing fat and gaining muscle, which weighs more. your shape might change and not the number on the scale. make sure you are eating the right amount of calories and drinking enough water.

Yes, you're going to seem alot unique. Here are the info: When you starve your self your frame is going into "hunger mode" you do not devour and your frame converts into consuming muscle earlier than consuming fats. When you do devour your frame shops it as fats. Hense you continue to had alot of fats, and wasn't very muscular. When you activity and devour proper, your frame builds at the muscular tissues, and begins burning the fats. If you preserve to free weight the proper approach you're going to seem alot extra tone, you're going to have much less fats in your frame, and you're going to have a better metabolism... that does not imply u can devour excessively once more, nevertheless it signifies that what you devour will probably be used as vigour alot faster. On most sensible of all this you're going to have a well total feel of wellbeing!

Muscle weighs much more than fat! While you're working on your muscles (weight lifting) stop looking at the scale and look at how your jeans are fitting instead.

You look like you're concentrating on the health aspect... great (I give you a pat on the back)

Now stop looking at the scale.

If you think I'm wrong - take a chunk of very lean meat and weigh it. Then start placing fat chunks on the scale until you get to the same weight (fat takes up more mass!)

Building muscle will burn fat.

I think you're on the right path! You're just focussed on the wrong thing.
