I am in a white living room with my daughter and grandson. We are very happy and playing games with the baby. A white scorpion with lavender head crawls toward us across the floor. I tell my daughter and grandson to move back and I try to kill it. It takes me 3 tries to finally kill it. After it is dead, I realize it has 2 black stingers. Then my grandson reached out to touch it and I screamed no and pulled him away. I told him that even though it was dead it could still hurt him. Then I woke up. What do you think it means?

That you fear a hidden danger that LOOKS all pure and sweet (white and lavender), but which has a secret hazard.

It sounds as if (just like any parent or grandparent) you're worried about all the things that can harm your family, and concerned about your ability to detect the harm in time, and then to persuade your family members to take it seriously, and not play around with it.

All parents feel this way. Still must have been a nasty nightmare!

The white living room...A sanctuary, a place of peace, a safe environment. (Almost spiritual)

Daughter and grandson...The beauty of generational family and said benefit. The beginning to the end. It is a happy environment, the word "pristine" comes to mind. It is a sanctuary of high regard and desirous.

White scorpion with the lavender head... In camouflage and near the color of royalty...Comes this well hidden danger and influence.

Three times to kill... All that you can do within your own effort and ability to kill and eliminate the threat...in the power of man and limited ability. You see the mortality and weakness of the effort to control and protect. It dawns upon you, you cannot be everywhere at once. Possible faith issue.

The two black stingers...The lingering effect and fear of that which has been exposed. Temptation to sin to dead concept.

Faith issue and realization of being finite. Enjoy good times and family, ride the wave. Difficult times will come and go for that is life. Do your best, be vigilant, but not hypersensitive to the unwanted guest, the horrific situation, or those lean and sorrowful times in life. Learn when to let go and when to help.

Your fear and desire to protect your family is what it means.
You are afraid for the health and safety of your family every day. Your concerns came to light in the form of the scorpion in your dream. The scorpion represents your fears of things outside of your control that can harm your family members. Your attempts to kill the scorpion is your desire to protect your family from as many dangers in real life as you can. The scorpion is the imagined danger, the black stingers are the real dangers you have faced and somehow prevented. There may have been a couple of small things you have done recently that you did not think were big deals then, your dream shows your fears were correct and that you dealt with the problem before they became bigger problems. Your telling your grandson about how it is dead it could still hurt him is you trying to teach him about dangers seen and unseen.
You are on track. Keep it up. But be aware you can't prevent every bad thing in their lives. You need to teach them how to take care of themselves, too. I know, impossible for a loving grandma and mom to stop worrying, but by giving your babies their own tools to solve their problems you provide them with weapons to protect them in dreams.
Good luck.

The Lord Jesus said, " I give you power to trample on snakes and scorpions....". Scorpions are associated with things which come inflict torment and spiritual dryness in people. Or rather take away joy and peace. Obviously, there was a issue in your household in which you saw threatened the peace in your home and you attacked it. But the reason it had two black stingers is because they represent two delivery systems for two types of torment or double portion.

The white scorpion could be that you fear that some one is going to try to hurt or abuse the child and the fact that the scorpion has two stingers signifies maybe two people that you may have trouble with leaving the child with.
