In Hungarian it's written "szervusz" and can
mean hello or goodbye.

Servus...It's Romanian, actually only in Transylvanian actually it's good-bye.. We have a large Hungarian population here and they usually speak a combo of both Romanian and Hungarian and sometimes it can be confusing.

I just would like to complement the previous answers above:) "Szervusz" (which truly means hello in Hungary, as Steiner1745 wrote) originally comes from the latin word "servus" which means "slave".
