Issi Noho was an "illustrated" children's series, meaning that the program was presented in the form of a book, with voice-overs complementing the colorful visuals. The title character was a talking panda bear, rescued from the zoo when the crate bearing him fell off a truck. His name was based on a fragmentary reading of the words printed on the crate: "ThIS SIde up, use NO HOoks." Adopted by a group of adventurous youngsters, Issi Noho solved their weekly problems with his collection of magic numbered squares. ~ Hal Erickson, All Movie Guide
