It depends on what you're treating. Strep throat (and I personally don't like using amoxicillin for that, but many do) takes no great dose, and 250 mg 3 times a day is fine. Twice that is the minimal dose for more significant infections. There's a reasonable chance that a single but large dose (a gram or two) may treat a bladder infection, though drug resistance among the bugs causing UTI's has made that an unpopular choice.

It amoxicillin Tylenol has authorized dosing from delivery. Motrin is authorized for a while 6 months and up. Aspirin is the single you mustn't take until eventually you're an adolescent. You did no longer do something incorrect. Ear infections take place lots in infants. They have not outfitted up immunity to basic infections yet. the difficulty may well be if our toddler gets continual ear infections.

Sorry - you should ask a Doctor first. That said, it's not uncommon for adults to take 500 milligrams 3 times a day for 7 days.
Again, even though you said don't say this: Ask a Doctor!
Get well and good luck!

1 - 1.5 g / day, broken down to twice a day
so if you decide on a 1g/day therapy that would mean
500mg in the morning and again 500 mg 12 hours later
we are talking about oral dosage not IV or IM , right? therapy always lasts at least 7 days.

250 mg, T.I.D., 500 mg T.I D., 750 mg. T. I. D. or 875 mg. tablets B.I.D.
It depends on the type of infection you're treating. Self medication (if u have to ask) isn't a good idea.
