School.......?

So, i need glasses,
but i dont like wearing them.. i feel really unconfortable wearing them, and no matter what people say, I AM NOT WEARING THEM... But in class, i cant see the board and stuff... and i dont like sitting at the front, anyone got any idea's?

I AM NOT OLD ENOUGH FOR CONTACT LENSES OR LAZER TREATMENT... AND DONT TELL ME TO GET OVER MYSELF AND STOP BEING VAIN... I DONT LIKE THEM, MKAY?

Thats up to you then if you want to let your eyes get worse.
Whats wrong with wearing them in class if its gonna help you.
Sorry but it is you being vain - I'm sure you're not the only one who needs them and if its gonna help your eyes you could get contacts when you're old enough instead of even thicker milk bottles glasses when you can hardly see!

I am not going to tell you to get over yourself, (how do you go about that anyway?) Sounds easy enough, but.... As far as being vain it's a good thing, as long as you aren't off the charts with it. Problem: no contact? Solution: Call an Optmetrists' office and just ask. I am sure you are old enough. They are killer cheap too. Disposables are so cool . Plus you caould get a colored pair for only a lttle more. WOW I am getting a new script and this time I am getting dark brown ones. I can't wait. It's as good as plastic surgery! I have a green pair already, but I need a change. Yes I am vain, but I always find a way to make something like this as complimenting to me as possilbe..If you can't get them which woudl be wrong. Do just like the girls said before me, go get a really cool pair, I like the ones that match your hair if it dark. Men just trip over that look. YOU COULD HAVE BOTH!
Theree g/fs and myself went and got glasses in 8th grade and we didnt' even need them, we faked a little to get low strenghth. If they would've had contacts then I would have had 3 in every color, to go with my outfit. In less than 3 months 6 other girls had went and gotten glasses also., that they didnt' need. Hey this is a good practice for you to see how such a seemingly hopeless stiuation, could turn you into a trend setter. BTW glasses make your cheeks look smaller. :) Open your mind little one, I love to try new things! Step out take a wald on the wild side. Give 'em somehing to talk about..If they are talking about you, they are leaving someone else alone. Like I have said usually they are just jealous. You will probably start a fad. lol If not who cares. Be your own best friend. Never forget most of the girls your age are just as self conscious as you, trick is have fun with it, laugh a lot PLEASE stop worrying. GYPSY

You're not old enough for contact lenses?? Says who? Your options are kinda simple.
1. Wear the friggin' glasses and get over yourself.
2. DON'T wear any vision correction and look like an idiot in class and get bad grades.
3. Sit close up in class and deal with it.
4. Get contact lenses.

We all have to do stuff we don't like sometimes. Get really cool and stylish frames and wear the glasses only when you have to see the board. Then, take them off, like when you're listening to the teacher or in the halls, at lunch or in the gym. In a few years, when you're old enough you can get contacts, but meanwhile, you have to pass your courses. Good luck.

Oh dear I can just see the pout and the foot ready to stamp.

Grow up. Ignorance is not bliss if you fall behind in your school work, fail your exams and be unable to get a decent job well at least you will look OK - you think. Some one peering and squinting trying to see isn't sexy.

Get the glasses wear them, get contacts do the work pass your exams get a brilliant job.

Your choice but keep the paddy to yourself.

Snap, i was told to where them when i was 10 years old, i am now 58 and still do not where them and able to see better then most, I left School unable to read or write in 1965, Dyslexic then not known and I was regarded as being backward but now look I am an Author with a book out on most book site like Amazon, because I used my computer with a spell checker and a grammar correction to write it, bit by bit, I started off witting but kept what I wrote on file in my documents on my computer, I used Microsoft Word, then I put what I wrote together and then added more on until I finally got a full book, then I found publishers who spent money to do it up and they called my book that is more about my life than Internet,

Get a good pair of glasses that blend well with hair face shape ext.

I started wearing glasses 2 years ago.

Just put them on and get on with it , if you don't make a fuss they wont.

the first time you put them on people will look at you a bit..

After that it will be fine.

Or you could just wear them all the time??

So people get use to it.

i suggest you wear them i was supposed to wear glasses when i was about 11 but didn't want to wear them as i felt i looked stupid wearing them, so i didn't and my eyesight deteriorated rapidly and i didn't start wearing them until i was 14 because my school work suffered because i couldn't see what was on the board and my teachers just thought i wasn't trying hard enough. now i have to wear them all the time.

Why can't you have contacts? I didn't know there was an age limit to get them.

You don't have many options either you get glasses or contacts, or go blind. At least you will look good right? Well you won't be able to see.

trust me lots of the popular pretty people wear glasses just for class and they look fine!
