When I lived in the United States I made my puppy a blaze orange fleece because 1) ice and snow stayed on the ground for about 5 months a year and 2) puppies don't have much buffer from the cold so they shiver a lot and 3) it was hunting season and I didn't want my puppy to get mistaken for a deer and get shot. One other benefit was I could see him from a long distance when he ran off. When he reached adult size I made him a new fleece and bought him a blaze orange shell.
So to all those squawking at this post and that don't think there's a purpose of dressing your pet THINK. There are drivers who are nutters and a bright colour may make them notice. Safety is a very good reason to put a bright colour on your puppy.
If you're handy at sewing you can get patterns from McCalls and Simplicity. If not you can buy them from the link below. Sorry if you're from the UK. That's a link to an American site. I haven't bought any clothes for my dog since we moved.

If you start putting clothes on it and fussing it like a baby, you may soon start to have behavioural problems with it. Perhaps you could spend more on a really nice collar and a dog coat for the winter if it needs one.

It is a dog not a kid, so leave the clothes for kids, A sweater if cold or boots in the snow, but the rest should be left for the stuffed animals to wear. Most dogs do not want to be dressed up.

Please don't put clothes on a puppy. It is so unnatural.
Would you go out without any clothes on - No and your dog doesnt want to go out with any on!

Your dog was born wearing the nicest clothes it needs. Dogs are animals they do not need clothing.
