The United States is now like the world's penny candy store.

Need some free education? Just come to the U.S. Even our overcrowded, presigious Universities not only allow in foreign students, but educate them at no cost, or at a bargain basement rate. Rahmatullah Hashemi, the former spokesman for the Taliban, enrolled as a student at Yale University where he has taken a class on terrorism. Guess he won't be joining a Fraternity, though. Might be hard to have mixers with those scantily-clad sorority girls whose exposed ankles are an abomination to Allah.

Here's a guy who, by his own admission, could be languishing in Guantanemo, but instead is getting the royal treatment at an Ivy League University.

Foreign investors recently demanded that the U.S. internationalize the U.S. investment funds based on American mortgages. Seems our cowboy style market is too volatile for their elite tastes.

Some strident foreigners have actually suggested that the international community should have some say in who becomes President of the United States because our decisions affect the whole world.

Can't get decent health care in your own country? Yeah, that Socialized medicine really stinks, doesn't it? Well, if Doctors Without Borders won't come to you, there are plenty of organizations who will fly you here at no cost and give you a free operation. But if you're a citizen without health insurance, that same "generous" hospital will take your life savings to pay for an identical operation.

If Hillary Clinton gets control of our health care system, she'll probably open it up to tens of thousands of foreigners, making Bill Clinton's renting of the Lincoln bedroom seem like a quaint and isolated occurence.

Want to come to America and bash the United States government, its people, and its way of life? Sure, no problem. In fact, you'll get standing ovations from dumb, pot-head college kids who can't even find your country on a map. You are welcome to speak in order to promote diversity. Diversity is of paramount importance, unless you are espousing Conservative values (you know, those pesky things our Founding Fathers wrote about?). If you want to talk about kicking out illegals or forcibly preventing a rogue nation from getting nukes, forget it. Liberal America wants to promote the spirit of diversity, not the actual application of the term in real life.

Need money? Somehow, all those U.S. funds in the World Bank weren't enough for you, but sure... we can float you a "loan", (which will never be paid back). Just come to the Candy Store, aka The United States of America. We'll be happy to give you some.

Need asylum? Just come to the U.S. Claim you're a victim, and head straight to the front of the immigration line.

Somewhere along the line as we were bending over backwards to be kind, fair, and equitable to the world, we seem to have lost our sovereignty. Heck, even Mexico laughs at our pourous borders, and say that in time, they will "reconquer" the American Southwest (and California) merely by their huge numbers.

I guess the people who have the fewest rights here are.... Americans.

I cant wait to have wait-in-line medicine. Ive taken a number already!

I want the same soul-crushing miserable dehumanized defeated scowl you get from the DMV person in ER's and clinics everywhere. I find choice of networks and doctors to be really overrated as well. I think the best thing to do is pay wayy more in taxes so that people that have no ambition, smoke, do drugs, come here illegally, etc can get the best coverage my tax money can provide. Those lifestyles are very appealing and if it werent for our pesky capitialist system, I might be tempted to join them if I knew I could have free healthcare.

I say the more like Communist Russia, the better. Liberals basically want us to become them minus the military. It worked out really great for them and Im sure it would go over fabulously here. I cant wait!

Are you talking about giving free healthcare to foreigners? We're already doing that. Illegal immigrants are bankrupting our healthcare system.

As far as foreigners using our system, if they can pay, and they do, let them come!

I don't think we will get to socialized medicine, I think there's even a kind of backlash going on right now, even in the medical community, not sure if it will turn the tide on this whole universal healthcare, government care, or whatever you want to call it. Bill and Hillary couldn't get it slammed through while they were in the White House last time, and I believe the country is more conservative now than it was back then.

Just my 2 cents on the subject...

Hey Canada has had Socialized medicine (a form of universal health care) for YEARS and has no problem eliminating US citizens from going into Canada for treatment---we CAN get medications from Canada if we take the trip up there because they are SO much cheaper then in the USA... My mother has lived in Canada for the last 20 YEARS and as a 79 year old woman has needed health care many times (a heart condition)... surgery in the USA would have cost over $100,000 but that same surgery in Canada was a FRACTION of that---their health system works and is good for the Canadian Citizens... if Canada can keep "foreigners" from coming in and using their health care system, then it shouldn't be all that difficult for the USA to do the exact same thing. Wouldn't it be wonderful, however, if EVERY COUNTRY on the planet had universal health care so that anyone could go ANYWHERE in the world and NEVER worry if they got sick or injured????????

They can now...they just go to the emergency room.

goldenrae...that is an exageration...there are others. But we do have good health care available to us. However, if you socialize health care, 1...it is ANYTHING BUT free, and 2...the quality of available health care decreases drastically...that is why wealthy Canadians come to the US for anything serious...their health care system sucks.

Littlebarb...the Canadian health care system sucks unless you want to sit in a waiting room for over 8 hours with your sick child while he is dehydrating from vomiting and diahreah. I sat with a friend of mine and her son through exactly that situation. We were completely igored for over 8 hours, and if I would not have forced the child to drink, he would have probably collapsed from dehydration.

That scenario is all over Canada. Their doctors are overworked, underpaid, and under qualified because all the good ones leave Canada to anywhere they can make a living.

Bryan...the right to be heard is a basic human right???? I THINK NOT! That would mean that we should give murderers, rapists, etc. a microphone and an audience...of course you probably agree with that because you aparantly think Ahmedine - jihad should have been given his.

If the president is elected then that will be what the majority of the American people want. It's called democracy and americans are dying in Iraq to protect it.
Are you unhappy with that. If so go and live in China.
Whether foreign visitors can use this health care is a separate matter. Many countries have reciprocal arrangements.

Of course they will they don't want to do a thing to get rid of them. keep housing them, keep giving them welfare and Medical, keep supporting the ones sitting in our jails, keep educating their Children just let them flood our country with drugs from Mexico, Let them take Jobs from American Citizens , and steal people's identity's in order to have a fake ID. there isn't a Democrat that has a fighting chance of winning that wants to address the problem. The illegals get treated better than most hard working Americans.
May God help us if the Dem's win

Yes, they'd even have the "right" to come here ILLEGALLY and get an education. Have you ever heard of the U.S. Supreme Court decision in Plyler v. Doe, 457 U.S. 202 (1982)?

The state of Texas had created a law (May 1975) requiring that all children enrolled in the public schools be either U.S. citizens or legal immigrants -- prohibiting illegals. A little more than two years later a lawsuit was filed in Tyler, TX challenging the law as a violation of the 14th Amendment's guarantee of the equal protection of the laws. All three levels of the federal courts came to the same basic conclusion -- the law is unconstitutionally discriminatory. The U.S. Supreme Court's ruling was by a narrow margin, 5 to 4, with Justice Brennan writing the majority opinion, for himself and Justices Blackmun, Marshall, Powell, and Stevens. (In previous cases, Justices Blackmun and Powell had taken the view that the state may constitutionally ban legal immigrants from jobs as police officers (Foley v. Connelie, 435 U.S. 291 (1978)) and that getting an education is not a constitutionally guaranteed fundamental right (San Antonio Independent School District v. Rodriguez, 411 U.S. 1 (1973)).) My "favorite" (note the sarcasm) part of Brennan's opinion for the Court is, "It is difficult to understand precisely what the State hopes to achieve by promoting the creation and perpetuation of a subclass of illiterates within our boundaries, surely adding to the problems and costs of unemployment, welfare, and crime." What a swell job of understanding the motives of the Texas legislature.

Six years after the Plyler decision, Professor David P. Currie, writing a two-volume text called "The Constitution in the Supreme Court," had harsh words for this particular decision. He wrote, "With all due respect, this is carrying solicitude a little far. Public resources are scarce and those who have no business being here can have poor claim on them. I may have a right to keep a burglar out of my house, the Court appears to be saying, but once he is there I must invite him to dinner."

It doesn't matter if it is a lib or a con, the US is in deep trouble and it doesn't come from universal health care. Don't believe me? Look at spp.gov and you will see how the US is turning into the North American Union...something like the EU, complete with a new money system and parliament which supersedes the Supreme Court in the USA. Yes, NAFTA was a step towards the NAU.

Don't believe me? Do your own research...use key words:
NAU, Amero, Robert Pastor, and Security and Prosperity Partnership.

Currently, illegal aliens get free health care by going to the ER for minor ailments. Also, in sanctuary cities and states, they get Medicaid, free visits to local clinics and maternity clinics. Pregnant illegal aliens cross the border just to give birth on U.S. soil so that their child will be a U.S. citizen.

If a liberal is elected, then yes, we will end up paying for illegal aliens' health care like we have been doing.
