i dont know how old you are but in the late 1980's nancy regan took up child molestation as her pet cause the issue became very popular until some of the children became old enough to realize that they were being coached on what to say the issue didnt have its popularity back until michael jackson then focus changed to preists it would be a safe bet that in the years to come some of the children will change thier story as well. besides how do you put a dollar value upon your childs safety not one has stood trial that should say something.

Would that go for teachers too? Seeing as how the are the largest group of child molesters in the country? Or...actually when you think abou it...men are the largest group of child molesters...I mean if you're going to attack an entire group based on a whole lot of media hoopla why not just go all out?

i am all for it, after all they would be the first to recommend it for someone else. So ideal choice. You want to be a priest? We will be needing your pair

waterboy of the lord: most of these cases are found out in the united states but i guarantee you they happen even more frequently outside the united states. I was sexually harrassed by a mass server in africa when i was about 11. Just like ahmadinejad denies homosexuality because he really has never seen it in his country (no one would admit to being homosexual anywhere if you know you will be pretty much announcing your death sentence), molestation is alive and well and probably a more frequently committed crime abroad because they get away with it and YOU and the public don't talk about it.
by the way, i never told anyone in africa about the incident i had growing up because we just didn't talk about it

nope. time and time again statistics and studies have shown that castration does nothing to prevent someone from molesting children. the problem is in the brain, not the genitals. besides, that would be both cruel and unusual punishment.

why is this question in R&S again? sounds more like a law/ethics question.

on a side note, females also molest. what type of genital mutilation would you recommend for women offenders?

costly Mz Chiquita, i think of a greater useful answer would desire to be to have a greater useful screening technique and additionally to permit clergymen to get married. (i'm a Christian) and no the place interior the Bible does it instruct that pastors (the Catholic equivalent being a clergyman) shouldn't get married. that's a guy made rule which makes one look greater non secular... in my view in spite of the shown fact that i think of all people who could molest a newborn (that's a concern previous no count if or no longer they are married or no longer). i think of the question could be greater addressed no count if people who're newborn molesters could be castrated or no longer. in my view i think of no longer-- they might desire to be despatched to penal complex and that they might desire to could bypass by counseling and rehabilitation and almost definitely (in the event that they are interior the clergy) could by no skill be allowed back there lower back. in spite of the shown fact that it type of feels to be a determination it is according to society. i'm helpful a mom who had her newborn molested would desire to sense slightly distinctive. i assume it is the reason as a society we make regulations and in u.s. we've the liberty to vote on those issues. desire that enables. Kindly, Nickster

Sure---while we're at it, let's castrate EVERY male- 'cause most of the guys who molest children are the DADS, BROTHERS, GRANDFATHERS AND UNCLES of their victims!

ps- celibacy means NOT MARRIED.

I don't believe that molestation in the church has anything to do with sex, but more power over the weak. Castration will do nothing to "fix" that.

Would you apply the same rather primitive remedy to all cases of molestation? Are you aware that such things happen outside the Catholic church?
