I'm with you. I don't condone homosexuality or gay marriages either. Doesn't mean I don't like people who are gay. But those who don't agree God's laws feel justified in lashing out against whoever doesn't support homosexuality. As God's followers, we Christians are the easy targets.

Sugar wrote "....Ok, so holy books say it's wrong, did you write the books? Did you publish them? What gives you the right to enforce them?"
Sugar, the Bible is given to us, and inspired, by God. HE has the right to enforce His law. We are just following His teachings. If you're not happy with it, take it up with God.

Pangel wrote "it also speaks of people who mix cloth and eat shellfish and sit where a menstruating woman has sat .... so you disagree with these things also ? or do you just pick and choose? times change, people change, laws change ..... this includes biblical laws ... or all of the above would apply also"
Pangel, everything you quoted is from the Old Testament. When Jesus came and died for our sins, He established a New Law that we now live under. Those laws no longer apply. Do you pick and choose which laws you follow? Read the New Testament to know how to live (1 Cor. 6:9-11, Romans 1:23-27). God and the Bible never change.

As long as you are not judging these people aloud, then I don't see a problem. You believe what you believe; they believe what they believe. But they should not treat you like your crazy. Homosexuality has become quite a "trend" over the last decade, and I think a lot of people defend it because it's "trendy". I have gay friends, and their sex lives are none of my business, so we just don't discuss it. But as I've always said, if God meant for us to be with the same sex, then we would be able to procreate with the same sex.

Because they do not respect Our God or the fact that you disagree with the homosexual lifestyle. Just because we may disagree with it they try to say we are being judgmental even though we are obeying and going by the Word of God. I have a couple of friends of mine who are gay they both know that i don't agree with the lifestyle they lead but they also know I accept them as they are and we don't allow our differences to come between our friendship. I don't know how many other homosexuals would be able to have friendships like i do with my friends but from what i see on here it doesn't seem like many it seems they only want friends who agree with the way the live.

It seems such as you're wearing some considerable anger or frustrations, yet which you're finding shops for it that do no longer actual harm human beings. certainty is, everybody has frustrations; I hassle so a lot greater relating to the quiet guy who by no skill laughs and insists each and every thing is excellent than i could relating to the guy who sometimes devotes an hour to working over a heavy bag or putting rounds into some witness plates. i assume the question is not any count if this interest is providing you with a cathartic experience, or if that's purely leaving you desiring greater.

Believe in what you want to believe in. You have that right and you shouldn't be discriminated against because of it. Not everyone is going along with it!!! I am a Baptist and no, I don't judge anybody, only God has that right. But if I don't agree with something then oh well, that is my right. You don't ahve to accept. Just because everyone was jumping off a bridge, would you accept and take part in it? No!!! then this is the same. You have to remember alot of people know nothing of religion, any form of it. Be your self and if they have problems against it, then that is their problem not yours.

You have a right to your opinion....but, your rights end where my begin...
I pay more in taxes than most straight people...but, I do not have the "right" to marry the person I love...because evangelicals feel homosexuality is a sin?
What does your religious belief have to do with my life?
Live and let live, etc...
Further, it is your opinion of interpretation of scripture that says that homosexuality is wrong....simply your opinion....you are not God...and God is the only ultimate authority on scripture.....there are many religions that are now taking a different look at homosexuality...and coming to different conclusions...
Finally, remember the same Bible you use to condemn homosexuality, is the same Bible our ancestors used to justify slavery, ( a Biblical concept). I would assume you would agree that slavery is wrong...eventhough it is Biblical? So, if our fundamentalist ancestors were wrong about slavery...fundamentalists may be wrong today about homosexuality

Actually many ancient societies like the Greeks and Romans accepted it as a normal thing.
There is some evidence to suggest that it is a genetic trait, and unlike other "sin" there is no successful treatment or therapy for it.
Gay marriage does nothing to anyone, other than allowing 2 people that are committed to each other to be legal about it and gain the benefits. The only reason to have it illegal is that some people think that their morality should be a law for everyone.
Now as to your statement that "god wants something", I would assume this means that you have evidence that whatever god you're referring to actually exists? Or that any of the major holy books are actually factual? For unless you do, making statements like these are *exactly* the same as saying "Santa knows who is naughty and nice".

I absolutely agree with you. Leave them alone if they want to do what they do. God does say what they are doing is wrong and a sin. They can come back to Him by not sinning any longer. Be glad to be of God and not the world. Remember, it is the world that wants us to accept homosexuality. Be of God, and you will always be right. I just don't want to be forced to accpet something that I find repulsive and is against God's will.

I do believe god does want love and happiness for all of us.Life may be only for today. and can you really imagine the pain of having to live untrue to your heart. The reason you think they are crazy is because its not who you are.I dont get it either. .excepting it and just respecting others are two different things

Well Anthony, if you read the bible and are familiar with its contents, it also states that one must not steal, kill, lie and yes, thou shall not judge. No one is with out sin. And it is hypocritical to be sinful and judge the sins of another. While we may not agree with the life choices of another person, we cannot attack them verbally or physically. Enjoy your life, let others have the opportunity to do the same. As we leave this world, God will do the judging.
