"If you don't have any bile, your poop will turn white. What makes the poop brown is the bile. It's what allows your body to surround fats and absorb them healthily. It's like the soap of our intestines. It hatches to be green. So as food gets metabolized through the bowel, it turns brown."

Your poo is brown because of the accumulation of used-up red blood cells that are excreted by your body, along with oxidized bile from your liver and gall bladder. Poo isn't always brown all the time. Notice that in general, poo tends to be brownish, ranging from light brown to dark brown, depending on your diet.

It's not always brown, but it is typiaclly.

This is mainly due to the blood cells that you pass out with your excretia.

Blood cells are always being replenished in the body, and as such the old ones need to come out.

When lacking oxygen and dead blood cells appear brownish.

This and diet can alter the colour.
