yep!! youre completely right! it is sick!! that is something sacred to us, and they try to tarnish it... but, when we speak out against someones "right" to be gay, its like, "stop all the press!!! someone has told someone homosexuality is wrong! what will we do?!?!"

and they call us hypocrites??

ya know what?? i keep seein ppl here sayin thats what we have done to ppl??? give me one example of a christian group visciously mocking seomthing like that??? if youre talkin about us tellin someone something is wrong, that wont cut it... you guys think it is some crime that we tell ppl what is truth.... we tell ppl what the bible says is the consequence for rejecting truth!! so, how does these gays takin something very sacred to our faith, and making a complete mockery and abomination of it?

Once again, the comments of those responding to your post, is far more disturbing than the ad itself.

I was actually looking for this question, (in the hopes that someone would be outraged) and that is the only reason I am in the R&S section. I had to stop visiting this section months ago. So, in a small way, the trolls won...but not in the long run...remember that.

These "people" are ruthless, blasphamous, mocking miscretins.

Although all sections have trolls, this section if by far the worst. The reason you did not have more positive input, is because most Christians have learned that you will never get your point across in this area. The least hint of Christian support, and they come out like blood thirsty pirannahs.

I appreciate your attempt and wanted to say that I agree....don't let these misinformed people get you down.

um, i guess you didn't get the memo that being gay isn't a religion. so what if they're mocking something. it's not the same as persecution which christians have been notorious for throughout history. the only way they would be hypocrites is if it were a group of christian gays mocking christianity. i think there are more serious matters to be worrying about right now, like Myanmar, a potential governmental split in Lebanon, the Iraq and Iran situations, the upcoming elections, etc...worrying about performance art is pretty trite.

It's really funny because Leonardo Da Vinci last supper is an insult to the Christians, but they don't know it, which makes it even funner.
Now you Christians are saying " What, what do you mean by that?"
Well it's Little know fact that Leonardo da Vinci hated the church, but he wasn't stupid.
He took every chance he could to make fun of the church.
Most people think it's because he was gay, and he knew how the church felt about gay's.
So retaliated in his own way.
The so called Last Super is a mockery that they didn't get.

Hello,

I saw similar things in Canada where the staunchest feminists and libertarians come down heavily on Christians yet say nothing and have a completely low profile over things like Mohamed cartoons etc.

The Muslim population in part does not turn the other cheek on these matters and you never see a vocal artist doing a Piss Mohamed instead of Piss Jesus nor someone like Martin Scorsese doing the last Temptation Of Mohamed instead of Christ.

As they say, like it or not, the squeaky wheel gets the grease or attention.

Cheers,

Michael Kelly

If you want to have a great last supper, you have to have it with SF gays. Some of those boys do know how to cook.

Iranian President told US citizens that there are no homosexuals in Iran and Islam. Not living outside of closets anyway. Those gays get a REAL last supper if they flaunt it in Tehran.

It's a free country. They can do what they want.
It seems coincidental that they don't attack Muslims the way Christianity is being attacked.
Can you imagine if they made fun of the black or Hispanics?
Maybe they are afraid of the retribution that would come afterwards. True colours shine.
Christianity is not suppose to fight back.
But on the other hand, they shouldn't be doing it to any one person, race or religion.

Muslims aren't prevalent in America like Christians are, that's why.

And they're not mocking god or anything of the sort. They are getting their just desserts (pun intended) against Christians - the very Christians that spew hate, judgements, slurs, prejudice and (sometimes) violence against the LGBT community. Good for them for that poster. They deserve to fight back against all the hate that has been directed at them.

It's a free country. You should be happy that people have the freedom to put up that poster.

You know what....

I'm so tired of Christians (not all, but A LOT) acting like they are so persecuted!!

You have ZERO right to talk about homosexuals and say that they are mocking you, and how dare they. ZERO!

You all are the ones that have not let them marry the people they love, tell them they are going to burn in hell on a daily basis, and basically treat them like second class citizens.

This country is a free country. You can make jokes about anything and everything.

How many Christians have made a gay joke? Or used the F-word? Yeah...that's what I thought.

The day that YOU are beaten UP for being a Christian like gay people or black people or Middle Eastern people are beaten and killed...then we will talk.

Until then, take your "oh whoa is me" majority, white, American butt somewhere else.

Let's talk about pot calling the kettle....

Every religion is attacked. It's not simply Christians. Do you really think Islam is not mocked? What about Wiccans. Mormons... Your assertion that it is only Christians is simply not true.

I do though especially like your use of "F'in". That certainly lends credence to the depth of your beliefs. It certainly shows one taking the "High Road", doesn't it?

I'm way liberal, but i do agree. Christianity is openly mocked and condemend, while mocking other religions is way taboo. Its sad. Though i'm more from the "mock everything" school of thinking than the "only mock some but not others". All religions should be fair targets for satire.

I do feel christianity is getting a bad rap these days. im christian, but i'm not some right wing fanatic. But they seem to be the face of christianity these days.
