Christ died for our sins and killed no one
Muhammed laid seige to Mecca, rounded everyone up and gave them a choice, become Muslim or have your head chopped off by the sword
one of these is quite clearly a message of peace
and the other one is a tactic designed at obtaining peace through fear
muslims please feel free to discuss my errors if any
but as it stands, if i had to pick a peaceful religion based on the two above
guess which one i would pick?

Jesus said we should not kill
man should not think differently
christianity is not about following the pope, it's about following God
God said don't kill
John 16:2
There will come a point in time when men will kill in my name, those men do not know the father and they do not know me
suciide bombing or crusades
God dosen't sanction it, which is why jesus diod not kill anyone, but mohammed did

Constantine the first pope was not a christian but a sun worshipping pagan
it was he that introduced sunday worship, just like the book of revelations said he would
he wanted to continue his pagan festivals and also added Easter after the persian good ishtra
and christmas after the egyptian good of horus to the menu of festivals
the title 666 is for the pope
vicarius fili deii
the numerals add up to 666 in latin
consequently, the anti christ of chrisitanity, is the messiah the madith of islam
Which stands to reason why the pope and islamic heroes used the same tactics at mecca and during the dark ages
become catholic or die
thats the choice they offered christians who would not receive the host
so yes, chrisitanity has been dark, but only under the hands of the pope
Jesus didn't kill anyone or we would be talking about it
the catholic church has

Vinaris you are quoting the parable of the ten minas about a rich King who gave his servants talents
as it stands it was a parable, the message being not to bury your talents in the sand, or make hay when the sun shines
why do you guys only quote half a passage to make yourselves look good:????

Before the Muslims trot out the usual litany of horrors of the crusades, let me be the first to state that there is a huge difference between committing an atrocity in spite of your religion, and doing so because your religion encourages it.
JUST TO SET THE RECORD STRAIGHT:
Constantine was NOT a Pope. He was the emperor of Rome. There had already been 32 popes when he converted. St. Peter the Apostle was the first Pope. Please get your facts straight before you start spouting anti-Catholic garbage. Most of the heretical things the Catholic church is accused of is completely made up by the protestants.
Johnny, I can see why you are too cowardly to allow private e-mail, when you go off the reservation like this. How did this go from a critique about Islam to an anti-Catholic rant, anyway?

Constantine laid siege to the Roman Empire, rounded everyone up and gave them a choice, become Christian or have your head chopped off by the sword.
How peaceful was that? If it weren't for Constantine your religion would not exist. In fact if it weren't for the atrocities committed by Moses your religion would not exist. Even your own Jesus said he didn't come to bring peace, but a sword.

All you wish to have is a replicate, and a disproportionately significant view of your possess importantce. Then, while men and women see yourself notion, you'll be able to snag them, into being Worshippers. Unfortunately, through this degree, you are going to be so absolutely self-absorbed, that the external international, may not even get a appear in. In reality, an illustration of that is Narcissus, Fell in love together with his mirrored image, worshipped himself, devotionally, like a God, then fell within the pond, and went to fulfill himself at the different part. Quite peaceable, and by no means co-ercive. edit: And relatively effective.

Well, let's see. Jesus said "But those enemies of mine, who don't want me to reign over them, bring them before me and slay them before me" (Luke 19:27).
Also Jesus said "Think not that I come to send peace on Earth. I come not to send peace, but a sword" (Matthew 10:34). Jesus said he also wants to split up father from son, mother from daughter, friends from friends, etc. St. Constantine also said he saw a vision of Jesus and he told him to start the crusades. Seems like if I wanted to take these scriptures literally, I could say these two religions are one in the same. Christianity, at one point in time, has spread their religion by the sword and told the whole world they should be grateful. We should be concentrating more on the similarities in these religions than the differences. Whether you guys like it or not, we have to all live on this planet together. Might as well live peacefully!!!!!!!!

When did Muhammad ever do that? I agree that the terrorists in todays world probably fit your description of spreading Islam by the sword, but i'm a Muslim and if Muhammad did what you claim he did, then i wouldn't follow Islam even if it was to save my life.
