i'm 5'0" & 103 lbs and i dont really want to lose any more weight (ive just lost 8 lbs) but i so want a super tiny waist (like the actresses from the 50's). my waist measurement is 21". is there a way that i can get it smaller without wearing a corset or getting a rib removed?

18" waist would be like this

What I don't get is why a woman with a 21 inch waist would feel the need for her waist to be any smaller?

I hope you realise the actresses in the 1950's had mostly 22-24 inch waists and the only reason anyone had a waist of 18-20 inches was due to wearing a corset.

If you decided to lose more weight, you would lose from everywhere and also end up very underweight. And you can't spot reduce unless you had liposuction and I can't imagine any reputable doctor agreeing to lipo a 21 inch waist!

18 inches is TINY for a waist measurement! You're very small now. It's very unlikely that if you lost more weight, you'd remain healthy.

If you notice on the link you sent, it says "20"-36" waist only", that's telling you that the models waist is not smaller than 20" or the corset wouldn't fit her.

Body measurements are due to weight of course- but also bone structure, which is genetic, which cannot be changed. So your body structure/bone structure may not enable you to have an 18 inch waist at any weight.

Sounds to me as if your perfect for your size right now. You didn't say who the actress was from the 50's you wanted to be like. Being to small is as unhealthy as being overweight.
