...instead of doing things differently to produce better results? "The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results."

Catholic Crusader... I'm not talking about "truth." I'm talking about stupid thigns like having thier worship service at 8AM and wondering why nobody's showing up. Or not doing any evangelism and wondering why there are no new people, or not offering any children's programs and wondering why there are no young people.

Donkey... that's probably the best answer I've heard so far. The people who want reformation can't really co-exist with the people who don't! Hmm...

Because reformists are kicked out of whatever particular religion they're attempting to reform.

It's hard to solve the problem when they don't even know what it is. They honestly think they are in God's will and are doing what He wants done and are living the way He wants them to live. But since they're not, the Spirit's patience has expired and it has left them - and people can sense what they are doing is empty and pointless, so they leave. The church officials are sincere and bewildered. They think if they just persevere, things will straighten out. They think maybe it's a "test." They don't realize they have already been judged and found wanting.

Maybe standing for truth is more important than
getting "results."

In some cases, it is actually the world that is dying
compared to the church!

That is not to say that churches are perfect, some
could do with some changes, you would have to
be more specific.

You got it, like introducing Risk Warrens propaganda and psychology to the church. Where the truth is preached and the Holy Spirit is welcomed, there is a move of God.

They are incapable of change. Dogma requires them to do the same things. If they don't adhere to that dogma, then what's the point of their religion?

Personally, I've always found that a religion can only survive by changing. But many say that that will take them away from God and destroy the true nature of their church.

If a Church teaches the truth, would you have them change that in order to suit a decadent world? Truth is truth: If less and less people want to hear the truth, the Church cannot stop them.

Dying churches usually happen because of poor administration.
