Ok, my "real" mother commits id theft on a regular basis. Now I know she does this for a fact, she's stolen my identity once and has several ssn's and names she uses. She also is a big drug addict and also abuses the welfare system. I want to know how can I go about turning her over to the police. She also owes back child support as well to me (well my dad) that she never paid. Its like 8-10 years worth. How can I go about getting something done for that? I'm still in school, i'm 24.

Go to the police, find someone you trust that can handle this properly. You can't let her do this any longer, she has to pay. Do the right thing, good for you.

Easy enough, go take your evidence to the police and let them handle it. Or, better yet, allow them into your mom's home for a search, they'll figure it out.

The child support is owed still, so your dad can always take her back to court; her wages will be garnished, etc., until it's paid off.

How would you feel if you couldn't pay for your kids food or clothing because she stole your identity?
