D&D talk: Player one: *Summons a genie.*
Genie: What are your three wishes?
Player one: I wish I had a friend with benefits.
Genie: *Poof! A handsome man appears in front of player one's character.* Wish granted.
Player one: Sweeeeet! *Bang, bang, bang.* Ow, ow, ow, ow!!! I wish I were a virgin again!
Genie: *Poof, the character's hymen is back, but it does not stop the pain, or the fact she gets pregnant.* Wish granted.
Player one: *Rolling on floor in pain.* I wish I didn't remember what happened! End the PAIN!
Genie: *Poof, she forgets.* Wish granted. *Poof, no more wishes, Genie gone.*
Player one: *Rolling on the floor, the handsome man poofed away with the Genie.*
Nine months down the road...
Player one: Oh my god! *While squatting to go pee, a baby pops out.* It's a baby! A baby boy! I will name him Jesus! Wait, how did I get pregnant?
Well, now that I got that out of my system...
Uhm, lost track, not sure.

Why! Why for all that is good past and present would you want to insult a person that didn't do anything to you, or anyone else! what is it do you want to get out of this!
She is so much more. Take for example this question. You are asking about her, 2000 years later when she was around. How many people will ask question about you! positive or negative 2000 years after you are gone! think about it.

It would seem to me that the Mother of Jesus would be held in a slightly higher esteem when you consider the magnitude of what she's done. Jesus seemed to like her quite a bit too, shouldn't that count for something?

No, the Angle told her "Hail Mary full of Grace" She was conceived immaculately, and all generations will call her blessed.
From the Bible, does that sound like a mere receptacle?
Peace!

No, but I have heard some extreme fundamentalists speak about her in a way that you'd think so.

this is one of the secrets the vaitcan never revealed. My guess is probably jesus was born out of wedlock, and this fact was suppresed. scientifically speaking, there is nothing called immaculate conception, unless us include invitro fertilisation as one.

No descent person would even say that about THEIR OWN mother. Why would you say it about the Mother of Christ?
