The illegal. While I do not like the fact that some americans do sit on there azz and collect welfare. The immigrant is still commining a crime ans should be punished. A Crime is still a crime no matter how good the intentions werre.

The US Government gives the American citizen the right to do what he is doing by supporting him and his ways. There's no where to send that type of person because the minute you try to, you'll be told they have their rights.
What really makes an illegal immigrant who is a hard worker and supports his family, everyone that runs their months about the jobs being lost to illegal immigrants that they wouldn't take.
There are true illegal coming into this country that won't work, yet find ways for the United States to support them.
To answer your question- the hard working illegal immigrant would get the short end of the straw, and be deported

The illegal. I am not in favor of the American who is lazy, but face it, you can't be DE-ported if you were never PORTED. That illegal may be working his butt off, but he is putting some American out of a job. He deserves to be deported. I have been out of a job (until today) for the past 2 weeks, because my city is full of illegals who get babied and favored. I was born and raised here, i've paid taxes all of my life and never complained. It sucks when i get laid off because an illegal came along and replaced me because hes willing to work for 8 bucks per hour less than i was. I don't care if he's got a wife thats carring his 6th,7th and 8th children in her gut, and has 4 others at home, send them home. This is MY country, not his. If he wants to visit or live here, he can do it the legal way.

The only people who have any rights in this country are Legal American citizens. Unfortunately there are lazy people in every culture. Still, the citizen has the right to be here and the illegal criminals have no rights at all. I wonder, if they are all such good hard workers, then why can't they all work together to fight for rights and a better way of life in their own country. This is where they should focus their energies and talents!

Weather he is good or bad still the illegal should be deported. Because how can you deport your citizen. All countries have good and bad people. We can't help it. Life is really like that. The best thing is to review the law against illegals. So that other people with good intention will not suffer. America is a VERY, VERY big country and it also need more GOOD and HONEST government officials to implement a better laws.

The one breaking the law. Even though the illegal is working his but off he still is showing that he has no respect for any laws or anyone so send him home. The illegal needs to work his butt off in his own country until he can get the legal right to be here. If he really wants it he will show that he does by obeying laws and doing most everything it takes to get where he wants to be.
The legal citizen should be cut off. He's showing that he don't deserve the help because he's a lazy asshole.and while we're at it lock his *** up and make him live in a place that really needs and deserves help and let him try to make a living there. Show him what it really means to want and need something.
To solve that problem just send them both to their own living hell!!!!!!!

I would deport the hard working illegal. The reason being why is because he is illegal!!! While I don't agree with people "sponging" off the tax payers, they are breaking no laws and they are still legal American citizens. If the illegal immigrant was such a hard worker, then why didn't he work hard to come over here legally in the first place? My grandmother came here from Germany and she did it legally. She meet my grandfather when he was stationed over there and they fell in love and got married until he passed away. She wanted to be with him bad enough that she went through the proper channels to become a U.S. citizen, so why can't all illegals do the same?

The illegal needs to go home and the lazy American needs some mental health consuling. How can someone just sit around all day and let others take care of them.
The welfare system was set up as a short term way to help US citizens to get through tough times, how can anyone have a tough time their whole life in the USA.There is always a way to improve your life without using the welfare system.

Maybe the illegal alien took the job from the legal American Citizen, so now we have we not only have to pay for the services of the illegal alien uses, but we have to pay the America because he doesn’t have a job. Send the illegal home and give his job to the American.
By the way I believe in workfare not welfare. If you can work you should, if you can’t find a job I’ll give you one. Think how clean the highways, parks, beaches would be if we took the people on welfare and made them work their benefits? No work = no benefits, after a few weeks I’d bet a lot of them would suddenly find work.

I am an American citizen who has worked very hard all my life. We have lazy people from every country here including our own. The abuse of the welfare system is outrageous. I appreciate the fact that illegals come and do the the jobs that the good- for- nothing freeloaders wont do BUT...they are still illegal. I would love to visit another country and be able to work to earn my own keep. The immigration laws wont allow it. If I end up with my boyfriend in the UK or he ends up here with me in the US, one of us will not be able to work for at least six months. Its the law.

The illegal immigrant is NOT a citizen and not our responsibility, as you have pointed out we have enough who want to suck from the government, we don't need non citizens on that teat too. Just in education and health care alone we are out a fortune for "non" citizens, the taxpayers are tired - we have needs too.
Kind of expensive to run the citizen through the court system and then deport him from a detention center to his home on main street, USA isn't it? Since he/she is a citizen they would be deported here..........
