Hi! I have found great deals on large electronic purchases like TVs after thanksgiving and after Christmas sales. Sometimes I find deals during the tax free weekends but you really have to search for the bargains. But there are stores like Brandsmart USA and wholesale places like Bjs or Sam's wholesales that always have great deals on TVs and really anything electronic. The best deals on TV's are always found right before Superbowl. (late January early Febuary)

In India ,the best time to make the purchase is during festival time i.e. between Pooja,Dussera and Diwali.

Last saturday of the month when all the sales people are trying to make their sales quotas. You might be able to bargain for a good price.
