She was trying to tell you, as gently as possible, that you are ill-mannered, if not out & out rude.
You might want to brush up on some proper etiquette. There are books at the library on the subject.

Most Boys... & Girls..... ARE NOT..." TAUGHT MANNSERS " at home anymore... let alone in the Schools!
CONSEQUENTLY.... We have Generations of Adolosent ADULTS.... that .... Have No Manners or Cooth!
The term " hot chick " leads me and Others... to see that YOU.... HAVE... NO CLASS!
Should you have HAD CLASS..... you might have PHRASED YOUR..... QUESTION.....?
" A Classy and Refined Lady " spoke to me... and told me... that I need SOME SCHOOLING IN PROPER..... ETIQUITTE AND MANNERS!

Perhaps you were unintentionally rude or brusque towards her?
It's difficult to say without having more information about the circumstances.
Obviously, it hit some sort of spot with you, because you have thought about it enough to want to ask about it ...

Women regard being called "hot chick" as impolite.

Your question makes you sound rude. You could have asked "A lady told me I need to take etiquette classes?" It would have been much nicer to phrase it that way. 2D
