I am assuming they are migrating though they sound awful not to mention my yard was black a scene right of of The Birds in living color. How can I avoid future episodes of these nasty pigs eating all the bird seed up in minutes.

Even though steve has a point with the bad butter. I will have to go with Alka-Seltzer and watch them blow !!!! Thanks to all who answered.

take the seed away, and stay under cover so you don't get pooped on! feed them some alka-seltzer they will "die better fast"! also, if you had a dog you could just let the dog out to chase em away. good luck getting rid of the film set :)

In case a dead crow is lying in your yard,it is possible that a large number of crows ,even from good distance ,will gather to mourn the death. They create unbearable din in expressing their sorrow. Make a thorough search of the yard and if you find any dead crow or its part like wings etc.bury them under the soil.

You may just have to live with it. Anything you do to scare them away will keep others away also. We have to put up with Brown Headed Cowbirds to keep the Cardinals and Morning Doves coming.
Just one of those things.

there's nothing you can do....ONLY, bring the bird seed in when you see then coming.
