Lately, I have been letting certain people and certain questions get my temper boiling, and I have given some very un-Christian responses. That is a violation of my Catholic/Christian faith. I ask that anyone I have offended recently please forgive me
From now on I am only going to respond to thoughtful questions. My answer will be a reasonable answer from a Catholic perspective. I hope my answers will help whoever is truly interested in them.
If someone has a real question about Catholicism, let me say in advance of you question that you should first try going to Catholic Answers at http://www.catholic.com/
If you look at the left sidebar, you'll see many subjects. You can click on one and see tracts that may answer your questions. Also, the search engine searches 20 years worth of articles from "This Rock" magazine, which has a lot of great articles about the faith. Also, the "official" Catechism is online at http://www.usccb.org/catechism/text/entiretoc1.htm
God bless everyone

Apology accepted. May I add, I personally have not seen any disrespectful answers from you to my current knowledge.
However, may I add this thought; you mention above that you would respond only to thoughtful questions. A thoughtful question from an 8 year old and a thoughtful question from an 88 year old may appear vastly different to others but be very sincere and needful to the asker at that time.

Thanks, I don't believe in the religion but have made a choice to answer each question with a bit of understanding.. some people on here ask questions just to get people upset, yes I answer those too without being rude..
You've made a good choice here even if you are Catholic LOL
(Please see the humor)
I've said some bad stuff in the past but I don't feel this guilty.

"Lately, I have been letting certain people and certain questions get my temper boiling, and I have given some very un-Christian responses."
I noticed, and i was beginning to wonder...
I have fallen into the same pit and add my apologies to Yours. However, i WILL keep answering wherever i can and try to keep a civil tone in what i write. Thank You for the information links.
May God help us both!

Most of these characters here on Y.A aren't looking for answers but are posting arrogant and demeaning remarks in a so called question form especially to Christians.
They really are miserable and lack a productive life of there own so they wander on here seeking to mock all those who are believers.
You done what you needed to do at this time but don't beat yourself up for it. I stopped answering such lame questions which are posted just to humiliate and get a response.

No need to apologize to me. I cannot recall you ever giving a rude answer to me.
I ask very mature, thought provoking questions. I wish more knowledgeable adults such as yourself would answer them.
I keep getting feeble minded, overly defensive people who are not good debators and just give cliched or cut and paste answers.
Seems the more inane and insulting the question, the more answers it gets. True spiritually deep probing philosophical questions just get a smattering of responses.
Perhaps its all the teens in here.

Well done. I am Protestant and do not believe in the catholic way but we have one thing in common and that's the important thing = Jesus.
When asked for a Protestant view of the catholic religion, I will answer with data as I know it BUT, from my perspective, as long as Jesus is the focus, I will in no way come against the believer. Who am I to say what our forefathers did or did not do? I only know the focus is Jesus.
Love uplifts and does not destroy. Love does not measure and compare. Love seeks to give and not take.
That's where I am.

You have not offended me. I know exactly what you mean though and it's funny after you figure them out that that was their plan all along....to destroy your peace. Thanks be to God that that is not really attainable because he is always with us and he understands everything. Vengeance is mine sayeth the Lord and I think the best vengeance he can have is to convert these people that trouble us and then he will have the glory of their repentance all the rest of their days so lets do penance and pray for their unloving ways.

It's hard because religion is something that means a lot to some of us. It's ingrained into who we are and how we perceive the world, and when we feel like that is attacked we can take it very personal.
Thanks for posting this, I try to catch myself a lot too when I get out of line.

I have been the same way. Then realized I was wrong and not doing God's will. It will still be hard not to get frustrated at times. But keep up the good work. :)

You don't have to apologize for being human. I try to be nice from my skeptical perspective but often times I can become cynical and sarcastic. Well we're human, let's move on.
Have a real grateful day.
