Say someone got arrested last night, disorderly conduct. This person has warrants for traffic tickets. When i called--bond was set for an ammount already. When someone went to pay it, they said "yes, that is what their bond will be but they have to go to court first." so does that mean that this person will go to court and get screwed with more charges and raise the bond or that they will go to court today and be able to get out with the bond amount listed. i really have to know and also how long this is going to take. Someone help please.

The bond was quoted for all the charges. Because there was criminal, and traffic charges, the criminal charge has to be heard first, and a court date set. Then the traffic warrants will me heard, and set for another date at traffic court.

You have multiple issues with this question.

First the disorderly conduct as it was the most recent offense arrested for. A bond is set and the offender can post bond.

Then...there were pre-existing traffic warrants which normally has a payout or bond. You either post the bond and appear in court for the traffic violations which obviously weren't paid to start with or there wouldn't have been warrants issued.

So...it seems like there will be a court appearance required due to the failure to appear on the traffic tickets which will be a seperate issue from the disorderly conduct.

They won't add or "stack" charges!

Best wishes.

Depending on the court calendar, the person in jail will be arraigned, or formally charged with the offense. At that time bail will be set. For disorderly conduct the bail will be set at the level of whatever fine would be appropriate. The judge could even allow the person to be let free on their "own recognizance for a minor offense. The traffic warrants, if they have not appeared or paid fines could be added to whatever bail is set.
