Fruit is the best for you in the AM. According to Fit for Life authors the Diamonds are emphatic about this, and in all the Mediteranian diets recommended by various doctors Fruit is the #1 food of choice for the mornings. It processes quickly, adds a lot of water and nutrients to your blood, which gets your brain functioning better than caffeine!

As a second choice, a fruit smoothie is a good option. Use lots of fresh or frozen or canned (last option, not the best) fruit, good quality yogurt, and anything else you might like to toss in there! I LOVE banana smoothies in the AM, but you can do almost any combination. Yogurt is not as good for you in the AM, but it is very filling, and in general it is good for your body.

So - I would skip the granola bar for breakfast, have the fruit, and bring the granola bar to school for a snack around 11am. Then you will be hungry for lunch but not starving, or use the fruit in a smoothie and bring the granola just in case you get hungry. Good luck!

The cereal and banana or the granola bar and banana. Sourdough is full of carbs and lots of people get fat from too much carbs. Go for the whole grain breads and avoid foods with white flour.

I would go with the first option.

The sourdough bread has too much carbs & the granola bar isnt filling enough.

All the above are good choices, but spreading your whole grain bread with a thin layer of peanut butter is better than butter and jam...peanut butter offers your body protein and healthy heart disease fighting fats, while the butter and jam offers your body cholesterol and sugar.
