Should early indoctrination, without the kid's consent, count as Child Abuse?

Should parents offer children different choices of faith or beliefs, including the freedom to not choose any dogma?

What do you think?

It's more along the lines of thought control than child abuse.

I think you are evil and you carry a strong spirit of the antichrist. The government can't raise children. In today's world the parents can barely raise them.

Were you abused as a child and that is why you distort truth?
Why do you hate the Lord? You do not worry about any religion but Christianity. You have a problem with only Jesus Christ because you know other religions that do not teach Jesus the Christ are false. You know the Bible teaches to "raise up a child in the way he should go and when he is older he will not depart from it." This is your intent to keep God's word from happening. You have no concern for children, but you have your own agenda against the Lord. If you had concern for children, you would know that bringing them up in love and righteousness makes the best citizens.

What has happened to you that makes you fight against the Lord? The only content human beings have 3 things and they are:

1. Peace with the Lord
2. Peace with themselves
3. Peace with others

When you get tired of the confusion and discontent in your life ask Jesus to take it all away. He will and you desperately need the Lord.

i think of it would be problematical to introduce law to shrink what a parent ought to instruct their infants, whilst age of sexual consent is extra particular approximately identifiable strikes. I agree that maximum believers are so as a consequence of adolescence indoctrination (I partly went via that myself, and observed it take place to others), and people who % in adulthood are a minority. even though, it smacks too a lot of massive Brother the place the state ought to legislate regulations on what mom and dad can instruct their youngsters. How might such law be drafted and enforced? even though, there must be criminal safeguards to guard youngsters who're compelled to attend non secular activities against their will, like church homes or mosques. There might possibly could desire to be a minimum age to settle for that the toddler is of adequate adulthood to appreciate the themes and be waiting to % for itself. each and every so many times here you get thoughts of unhappy youngsters who're forced into going alongside with a faith they have not got self belief in, generally observed with the aid of a few solutions that the toddler is in the incorrect for not desirous to maintain on with the "genuine faith". the considered mind and consent many times look exceeded over there.

Parents are going to raise their children with knowledge of what they believe to be true. . .that is just the way it works.

I go to church and my children go with me. . .I am raising them up the best way I know how to in the best way I believe. Granted when they get older they will find their own ways and I will love them no matter what. . .they are my babies and always will be.

As a Christian myself, I do hope that my children always have their faith in the Lord. . .

Now, that is not to say that I do not make them aware of other beliefs and other cultures. I do want them to be educated and aware that we are all not the same. And, their are other beliefs that do offer positive things that I want my children to know about. We have been reading, "Zen Shorts" and "The Three Questions". . .they are wonderful children's books with wonderful life messages in them and they are based off of Buddhist views.

Many people will say "I agree" to your statement. Yet you realize if you don't teach them anything regarding a religious worldview then you are in fact indoctrinateing them with a certain world view.

Choosing not to "indoctrinat" religion is in fact "indoctrinating" them with something else. There is nothing wrong with teaching your children the ways of Jesus and to have a Bible based worldview. Both of these are positive things and are constructive to society.

*Don't give me thumbs down, simply because you disagree with me*

Children should not be introduced to religion. Period.
12 or 13, when they have a mind of their own , sure, let them see is what is out there.
Parents should teach morals, ethics and such but in my opinion not confuse these topics of right and wrong with religion, or any nonsense associated dogma.
