I just read about the new toys to be recalled...and I'm sure it's not over yet by far.. I was shopping for toys for my baby boy however the other day and it's almost impossible to find anything NOT made in China! I guess it's time to go to smaller quality toy stores that sell safe wooden toys etc..

I am not saying everything made in China is bad but unfortunatly I can't know what is and what's not and the safety of my son comes first so I'll avoid "made in China" labelled stuff at least for a while. (I wonder if Mattel can recover from this)

How does this affect you?

right now it seems that most toys made in china are being recalled for some reason, i dont trust them. if its made in china ill buy it as long as it has no paint on it. everything else has to be american made or they wont get it. but they are at the age that they dont put toys in their mouths so, sometimes i may make an exception.

Heck yeah... I was just reading about another recall on yahoo... it's ridiculous. Toys should just be made in the US to avoid some of these issues. And seriously... don't they pay attention to the ingredients when they are making the toys? I double and triple check everything I buy for my daughter now. The world is becoming scarier by the day.

it doesnt and most wooden toys are also made in china. i buy age appropriate toys and i dont worry about anything else, i worry more about food recalls than toys. i am not saying i dont read all recalls i do i just dont put much stock in them

the stuff in stores is safe so dont worry about it stores are notified before the general public and bad stuff is pulled. chill out and buy what your son likes

i refuse to live in fear

I don't buy ANYTHING from China.... toys, toothpaste, dog food... eventually it all gets recalled.

I am a huge supporter of buying American-made things.

Yes, it does. I now look at everything, and I wasn't that way before all the recalls.

Every day. The products are junk. They pay their employees nothing. Nothing nice to say about the situation. They were trying to poison our children so they could takeover...

The real question should be how will it effect Walmart. Most the crap they sell is from there.
