What does the numbers on your drivers license or id stand for? or the website .?

in california... insurance agents use the letter and the first few numbers to identify how long you've had your drivers license. its 90% accurate because some people get an ID before getting their license. i dont think there's website... i used to work for an insurance agent. we only have a list for reference.

It is your identification number. Just like a Social Security number. By bringing up this number on the computer, all of your information concerning the DMV are available.
