Why is it the only prayers that are ever get answered are those that can be explained as coincidence?

Those of you that claim god HAS healed amputees, PLEASE provide a link, or more explaination. I don't think an amputee has EVER regenerated a limb. God does things like heal cancer, which also happens for people that don't pray or believe in god.

In Mark 11 verse 24 Jesus says:

"Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours."
In John 14, verse 14, Jesus says:
"Whatever you ask in my name, I will do it, that the Father may be glorified in the Son; if you ask anything in my name, I will do it."

But God has never healed an amputee.

That's not true that they can only be described as coincidence. You need to talk more with people who actually live a Christian life and hear their testimonies. I've seen and experienced things that could not be attributed to coincidence.

As for the amputee question, the human body is much more complex than a lizard. Limbs simply don't grow back. It isn't that God couldn't, but He chooses not to. It's kind of a silly question.

When you pray and ask God a question he already knows what you won't ,You don't keep asking the same question pray for others no only yourself He will answer your prayer just not in the way you won't ,I know Prayers work and when you loose a limb or life there is a reason you just need to pray about it and you will find out about other things more important than just loose in a limb, hope this helps.God bless

You have a misunderstanding of what prayer really is. All prayers are answered. Perhaps not always in the way we would want but always in the ways that are best. Because an amputee can't regrow a limb you think that makes prayer null and void? God is so much bigger than a missing arm or leg. What you view as imperfect or a handicap God views as perfect and capable of so much more than you could ever imagine!

I firmly believe that before very long, we will see amputees with new members, and the blind to see. I firmly believe we will see this in our life time. I believe this is the generation that will see the Rapture of the Church.
So some will say that johnnycee is nuts. But no matter, I love life and I am enjoying life quite a bit. Can you say that!?

Does God answer prayers? According to believers, the answer is certainly yes.

For example, at any Christian bookstore you can find hundreds of books about the power of prayer. On the Internet you can find thousands of testimonials to the many ways that God works in our lives today. Even large city newspapers and national magazines run stories about answered prayers. God seems to be interacting with our world and answering millions of prayers on planet Earth every day.

God's power often can be quite dramatic. Take, for example, this story from Marilyn Hickey Ministries:

Prayer is a communication system we have available to fellowship with our heavenly Father and which activates His promises in our lives. No one can beat this system. It's quick. It's efficient. And it's available to you right now! Prayer reaches our heavenly Father instantly. Years ago my mother's doctors found a tumor in her brain. When I heard the news, I was out of town so I could not lay my hands on her. That night as fear swept over me, the Lord quickened Psalms 107:20 to my spirit: "He sent his word and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions." I sent God's Word long distance to my mother's brain. When she was X-rayed again by her doctors, there was no evidence that any tumor had ever existed! Hallelujah! Our prayers are swifter than any medical technique. Only born again believers who have accepted Jesus Christ as Lord can have a relationship with the Father and prayer is the communication method you must use to develop that relationship. [ref]

HOT Babe,
I do not question my FATHER. I believe that those who are not healed on earth and are granted a place in Heaven will be whole there. We all have our own crosses to bear. Some have a much heavier load than others. Mine has been rather heavy recently but I am fighting satan each and every day and so far I remain faithful. I hope that this makes sense. If you would like for me to go into other details, email me and I would gladly do so. Have a wonderful week and a glorious life!
Thank YOU,
Eds

God does heal them, just not necessarily the way they want. They might loose a limb but God can heal their bodies after that and their minds. I know people who I have seen this in them!
Prayer ALWAYS gets an answer! Every time! Sometimes its yes, sometimes its no, and sometimes its not now. But there is ALWAYS an answer. and if we let Him He will help us to handle His answers. Even if we don't understand why He answers the way He answers.
God bless

Prayer is not intended as a supermarket checkout. When we say G-d works in mysterious ways, we mean his healing power reaches out to our hearts if not our limbs. Time heals all wounds, is an old saying with plenty of truth in it. Humans are not chameleons with the power to regenerate limbs. Perhaps the scientists are close fixing to that one now.
The coincidental prayers you say are answered...I agree, coincidence. Prayer is for grace.

Yes....prayer moves things and does work.

And God is not obligated to heal everyone......

His answer is either yes, no, or wait.
Why are poeple so hung up on amputees anyway? Who says God is ever obligated to answer every prayer?

Edit:
Don't listen to these morons who think God hates amputees. They obviously do not know the Lord........and it shows

Number One:

We dont pray to "twist Gods arm" or to "make Him do anything that is against His revealed Will". Prayer is not a "magic wand" that somehow gets God off His throne to "do our bidding".

Prayer is to for establishing communication between The Creator and His creation, and to align ourselves with HIS plans and purposes...NOT to get HIM to do what WE WANT.

Number Two:

Healing was connected to Gods program with the Nation Israel as they were the Nation that required a SIGN.

We are in a different program today. The dispensation of the GRACE of God is what its called , and God isnt operating under the "prayer of faith", but under NEW directions given to Paul for we who are believers today.

WE are told that "Gods grace is sufficient", and that we are "to walk by FAITH (in what God has already revealed as His will in the Bible) and NOT by sight."
