my 26 months old girl neither speak well nor understand verbal commands, although she can immtate some difficult words that means she has no problem with her speaking mechanism. But she dosen't understand verbal commands.she has no hearing problem, I evaluated her by a psycho-analyst 4 months ago, but the report was within normal range. she use to talk with hershelf meaninglessly and occationally she pronounces some perticular lines of poems or some words which she use to listen from us. but these thing she use to do very rarely.I have consulted many doctors (paediatrician to speech pathologist) but the problem persists.as if her speech and learning development is suddenly stopped. she is otherwise doing well with her movements, enjoying poems and music, eating well. She is neither autistic nor hyperactive(as told by doctors)but her attention span is very short. I am very much worried about her speech development. what should I do?

First of all there isn't really a way for doctors to know if your child is autistic or not until about the age of 3. That is when you would really see if autism is an issue. You have to realize too that some kids are just late bloomers. My friends son didn't really start speaking a lot until about the age of 3 and half. Otherwise he would just grunt or make some other noises but, nothing was really understandable. It really happened overnight for him too. One day he just started talking. Einstein didn't really start talking until age 4 and even then he didn't speak much until about age 7. I would give this some more time and see what is happening. Monitor the situation for a little while longer. Keep in contact with your childs doctor. Basically what I am saying and it sounds like your doctors are say as well is don't panic just yet. Some kids are just late bloomers. Trust me in about a year you will be wishing the kid will just be quiet for more than 5 minutes. They wont stop talking then..hahaha. But, give it a bit more time. Ok, I hopes this helps, take care and best of luck to you are you daughter.

I don't know what advice to give you other than to say, maybe she's just a bit late. Keep working with her through repetition and see a speech therapist. There are many learning styles. Keep talking to her and saying the words and she may shock you one day by yapping away. Each child is different. If the professionals are not worried then you shouldn't panic. Continue reading to her and pointing out things and calling out what they are called. Use colors and numbers. Ask her simple questions. If she appears to understand then she should be fine. She's just taking her time. She'll be talking up a storm in no time.

By the way , have you seen a neurologist to have her evaluated? See specialists not general practictioners.

What in touch me replaced into which you pronounced her speech and gaining knowledge of progression has stopped. i could prefer to enable you recognize to no longer hassle, yet i think of you may shop having her evaluated until somebody can enable you recognize why she isn't coming up. that's no longer a lot the shortcoming of verbal speech, as some young ones merely communicate later. that's the shown fact that she would not understand verbal instructions. particularly no longer something looks to show to function - no longer conversing isn't an upload sign. in spite of the shown fact that, you say she would not have autism, the two. Has her listening to been checked? perchance that's as something so elementary as that. that's no longer that she will't understand instructions, yet she merely can no longer pay attention them. it is recommended to get her into speech scientific care, and take her to what's referred to as a developmental pediatrician. on an identical time as she's in scientific care, get as many comments as you may until you discover the source of the concern. little ones have a much greater useful hazard of catching up developmentally whilst the concern is caught as early as available, so attempt to get her into scientific care surprising away. good success!
