The egg (or thought) was planted in the mind of man, and this gave birth to that which we call "the sermon".
If a human should find the "One" that Created and Planted the egg in the mind of man, the sermons would finally cease, and the "Truth" would then be revealed.
This is why we were sent on this short sojourn to this place we call earth!

I bet God gave sermons to angels before He created the first fish, bird, amphibian, insect or reptile who laid the first egg.
Just sermons with human participation as listeners and/or speakers? Well, some insects are really fast in laying eggs, probably there were many eggs on Earth before Adam was created.
