Have you noticed the president of Iran deferred to God and God's plan sveral times in all of his interviews.

He talks about God a lot!

Lee Bollinger, undermined his own case for freedom of speech in his insulting introduction in which he described the university's guest as exhibiting "all the signs of a petty and cruel dictator" and expressed the hope that Mr Ahmadinejad would not remain in office.

Iran is within its rights under the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty to develop nuclear energy for peaceful purposes,

UN inspectors have not proved any deviation of Iran's programme towards military research,

He argued that Iran needs to be self-reliant in producing its own nuclear fuel for energy because it had been let down by several western suppliers since the days of the Shah.

He also pointed out that the UN inspectors have certified that Iran has not enriched uranium beyond the level of five per cent, which is the grade required to power a civilian reactor.

I'm out of loop on most of the conversation. I didn't hear the speech or the introduction. However, I do not believe the president of Iran. If they have nuclear intentions, I do not think he would tell us. And though he apparently avoided the question this time, I believe he would like to see the State of Israel disappear. He apparently asked people to look at what caused the Holocaust of WW2 and 9/11. The terrorists that claimed responsibility said, 9/11 was a response to the US support of Israel. I am proud that our country has supporteded Israel vigorously since WW2. I think it is biblically
and morally correct. The surrounding Muslim countries should absorb Palestinians that do not wish to live as Arab-Israelis. If Jews are allowed to live peacefully in Iran and the many other Muslim-dominated countries, then they should trust that Muslims will have the same protection in a Jewish state.

I disagree. I think there are some people who would consider themselves homosexual if they lived in the US, but do not consider themselves so in Iran because of the cultural differences and the very strict prohibition Iran has against homosexuality. These people don't even realize that they would probably be homosexual if they had been born and raised in the US. I think there is a smaller number of people who consider themselves homosexual but will never act on it and marry and raise children and basically spend their lives ignoring it. And I think there is a very small number of people who are homosexual and who will go out and form homosexual relationships. These people, when caught, are executed. Basically, I think that the sexual openness of the US and Western Europe has caused people to accept truths about themselves and act on them while the sexually repressed culture of Iran has caused many people to bury these truths so deep that they may not even be aware of them because the truth would cause them to be an abomination. If the same person with the same thoughts and homosexual tendencies is born in the US and Iran, they will become different adults. The child in the United States will grow up seeing gay people on television, and seeing them in his neighborhood, and while he may be uncomfortable with his homosexual tendencies at first, the number of teenagers in his high school who are openly homosexual will ease his mind, and he also will become openly homosexual. The child in Iran will grow up never seeing gay people, and only hear about homosexuality as something horrifically evil, and if he hits puberty and those tendencies manage to break through his cultural beliefs at all, he will quickly suppress them. I don't find what President Ahmadinejad said particularly upsetting, although I'm sure he knows that people have been executed for homosexuality and don't understand why he would go to an effort to lie about it. And I agree with you that Ahmadinejad is not a homosexual. Among secular Americans, those who are strongly anti-homosexual, the way Ahmadinejad is, are usually thought to feel that way because they have repressed homosexual tendencies themselves. But as President Ahmadinejad is not secular, and has strong religious and cultural beliefs that prevent him from accepting homosexuality, this doesn't apply.

All I can say, thats no way to treat a guest. He took time off his busy schedule to answer the questions of American students and provide them with a different side to their ideology of Iran. AND in doing so is mocked and insulted by the man who had requested the Iranian presidents visit. THEN HE WANTS THE IRANIAN PRESIDENT TO ANSWER THEIR QUESTIONS! If I was the president I would have exited the room in disgust at the actions of this ridiculous and unrespected figure.

Dear my brother John.In my opinion US government is quite wrong to demonize the president of Iran Ahmadinejad.Yes I noticed the president of Iran deferred to God and God's plan several times because he is a good muslim..All humans including the president of US and Iran are depended on Allah the only one God.A wise word told "Man proposes but God disposes".God Almighty has the greatest power much more than Mr Bush has.At a certain time Mr Bush will die although maybe he forget it.How well the plan made,by human it can be evasived.Mr Bish and Lee Bollinger were tempted by satans so I think they were demonised themselves by insulting the president of Iran.Mr Bush,I am sorry,is a greedy man of power. He is afraid of other leaders who are not his ally.He gave support to Israel,South Korea,Pakistan and India for developing nuclear energy, but he opposed Iran to have it.It is caused Iran is regarded as his enemy..Iran has the right to develop nuclear energy for peaceful purposes for the sake of prosperous of the people of Iran.Iran let the UN inspectors to investigate, certify and monitor its development
,but US government still does not believe on Iran.'s peaceul intention..Mr Bush regarded himself is always right
That is the strong evidence of the greediness and power thirsty of Mr Bush.So I convinced that Mr Bush is demonised.

Well I don't think we should be using nuclear power because of how dangerous it is personally... But that's my opinion.

Anyway, I dislike him because he is a self proclaimed enemy of America, as soon as we start looking into his nuclear research he gets offensive and is looking for peace, and every other thing out of his mouth is talking about the Muslim god that says it's OK to kill people if they don't believe the same as you... But I think that might be a personal opinion to and I don't really know if America is right or not.

As this man does not refer to God, but to Allah (a false god), that is a moot point.

Hussein made similar claims about WMDs as the Iranian president does about nuclear capabilities. The UN inspectors were constantly thwarted in their efforts to to verify his claims. After we freed Iraq, we did find the WMDs, and found that more had been spirited away to Syria.

Lee Bollinger made a statement based on the recorded history of Iran, and its president in particular.

I am amazed at how people can try to give people like Hussein and Ahmadinejad a free ride and all kinds of dispensation, when history has proven that these types of people want only to rule others and bend them to serve. They will do it by any means they are allowed to get away with.

He can be avenged when a university in Iran invites the US President to speak to its students.

Every other country demonizes the USA as well as our culture and nobody sees anything wrong with it. I'm tired of the poltical correct bullshit about one not being able to speak their mind. I'll admit it, I I don't like him or his views and several other countrys bordering him. If this jackass gets his hands on enough uranium/plutonium and develops weapons against another country lets see who will pity what is said about him then.

Whatever you think of him he was a visiting dignitary from another country and should have been treated with the hospitality and respect that deserves. The TV showed him at an American university and the Chancellor was nothing more than a rude, disrespectful pig. I felt embarrassed and ashamed of the chancellor I am NOT even American. How do you expect people to act decently if you are not prepared to show the same decency yourself. such a hypocrite!!

Quotes From Ahmadinejad at recent dinner party

" I believe that Almighty God created the universe for mankind."

"Man is God's most important creation and it is through him that we appreciate the beauties of the universe. "

"God has sent man here on a mission."

Love. Justice. Kindness. Dignity.

"The pursuit of justice through love and kindness and human dignity can end all conflicts on earth," he says. "Inshallah."

The Catholic Church has been saying that for more than 2000 years at least Doctor Ahmadinejad is in agreement -now all we need is to convert Bush and Queen Elizabeth!
