I wasn't wanting lavish gifts or kinky sex, just a simple Happy Birthday.

What? How in hell can you forget your lover B-Day and you got re mined before it came thats impossible. This is something serious now your girlfriend just can't forgot a event like your B-Day. You really need to check into that one because that's not normal. My reaction will not be nice at all because i NEED to know how you forgot my birthday and I NEED to know Now. Plus I'm a female and will never think about forgetting my man B-Day.

whatever you do don't try to "make it up to him" that like putting a band aid on a stab wound, you have to reverse the damage done. The one thing that guys are scared of the most is being alone!!! We don't need gifts or more stuff to be happy we to be noticed, accepted, and understood. He will not tell you how he really feels right now and he will either get mad or tell you its alright, its not alright you need to look him right in the eyes and tell him that "I love you and I am there for you, I will always be there for you because you are my best friend and you matter to me" then give him a big hug and he'll give you the w/e attitude but it will make him feel much better.

Will it would depend on how long you known her really. If it was me I would be very upset about it and ask why she forgot your birthday. This happens a lot with my husband he's always forgetting my birthday too but after 15 years I learned to deal with it because he just can't remember important dates like birthdays, Anniversaries, or holidays. But you should talk to her and find out why she forgot your birthday.

It depends how much my birthday meant to me. For me personally it's not a big deal and I don't like a fuss, so although it'd upset me a little I don't think I'd lose any sleep over it. However, if it was important to you and you made that clear to her, I think you have every right to be upset - unless of course, she had something more important to be worrying about.

She better not forget my birthday... hers is three days before mine.

But seriously, I would be upset but it's not something I'd hold a grudge over or anything. Things happen, people forget. Life goes on.

Well if you two were together for more then a year then i would say that that's pretty bad.. If it's your first birthday as a couple then it could be understandable... But with a weeks notice then somethings wrong.. Does she smoke pot?

yea, men are really stupid with dates, 8 out of ten forget and don't see what the big fuss is after, i think it's normal as men get too comfy if they think that they are in a safe place in the relationship.

I take my birhtday and others that are close to me very seriously. i would be hurt if she forgot. But if she was truly apologetic and felt sorry about it I would forgive her. But she better not forget again!
