What is so great about getting alot of points from answering questions on yahoo. Do you get grand master of the year for being the highest? What is the big deal and why do people spend time doing it?

There is no big deal about the number of questions or answers you provide. It is one of the best ways to learn about things and also pass on information to help others. I am wondering why you ask.

I agree about the points..I think they are important to those who do want to contribute. but that is not their only reason for answering. Some people need to feel a sense of accomplishment. They are the ones who also have a highly competitive nature, are driven by success or status, and need to be "over achievers".. To them points are a sign of their "recognition" and accomplishment.

Because I'm bored and have nothing better to do in school. I've answered loads of questions and still got no best answers :-( lol
