Creationism isn't a theory. evolution is currently the only theory as to how the variety of species came about. Creationism is a hypothesis at best.

Evolutionary theory does not explain the origin of life. It explains how life came to be as it is. Creation is a myth. Even if tehre is a God, which I believe there is, creation as it is told in the Bible is a myth.
The "big splat" theory is the origin theory I'm going with for now.

As a Christian and scientist I believe in the beginnings of creationism and then evolution sprouted onwards from there.
This belief does not contradict the bible: Creationism is covered in the book of Genesis 1:3, which goes over creationism with a metaphorical context.
Of course, no human holds absolute truth. We can theorise and theorise, but in the end, we will only have relative truth, nothing absolute.

Not to evolution. It is the accepted theory by science for the ascension of the species. An alternative theory to creationism, which is not by definition a theory, would be the big bang theory.

What about evolutionary creationism? I don't see as there's necessary any contradiction between the two. Especially considering the implication of Pr 16:33 "The lot is cast into the lap, but its every decision is from the LORD."

There is no logical alternative to evolution at present. Creationism, creation science and intelligent design are nonsense with Genesis creation myths mixed with some bad science and pseudo-science that did not deceive me when I was in elementary school. No one has anything to match evolution really. Erich van Daniken's theory that ET's created humans is about as bad as creation myths. it is essentially the same crap.

Yes, just because man is a creator of a things etc, we tend to think we have a creator. I feel we have always been and always will be forever. There are million upon millions of Universes out there and many billions of galaxies, they have always been there no one created them. Every thing is evolving a prime example is germs.
Some people are losing their appendix for example, as our diet has changed over thousands of years.

So far, nobody's come up with one to provide a decent challenge to evolution. And, strictly speaking, creationism isn't a scientific theory.
