The world is full of false prophets. Psychics. Channelers. People who follow their "spirit guides." They've been around since the beginning. They'll be around until the end. What you and I have to do is to have enough discernment to distinguish the true prophets from the false ones. So if the person you're listening to predicts the future, and is right, but is leading you away from the Jesus of the Bible - the REAL Jesus - then that person is not a prophet. You should stop listening. If the person you're listening to predicts the future and is ever wrong, then that person is not a prophet. You should stop listening. And if anything the person says is in conflict with one word of God's Word, close your ears to anything that person has to say.

Deuteronomy 13
Worshiping Other Gods
1 If a prophet, or one who foretells by dreams, appears among you and announces to you a miraculous sign or wonder, 2 and if the sign or wonder of which he has spoken takes place, and he says, "Let us follow other gods" (gods you have not known) "and let us worship them," 3 you must not listen to the words of that prophet or dreamer. The LORD your God is testing you to find out whether you love him with all your heart and with all your soul. 4 It is the LORD your God you must follow, and him you must revere. Keep his commands and obey him; serve him and hold fast to him. 5 That prophet or dreamer must be put to death, because he preached rebellion against the LORD your God, who brought you out of Egypt and redeemed you from the land of slavery; he has tried to turn you from the way the LORD your God commanded you to follow. You must purge the evil from among you.

We are not to 'take care' of them. They are already in Satan's realm and the punishment is sure.
We are to call them out of the sins but leave them to God for He said, "vengeance is mine I will repay."

Three things we are asked by God to do in regards to False Prophets:
1. Don't Listen to them
2. Follow God
3. Revere God
The verses you shared: 3 you must not listen to the words of that prophet or dreamer. The LORD your God is testing you to find out whether you love him with all your heart and with all your soul. 4 It is the LORD your God you must follow, and him you must revere
Nowhere in this verse does it tell us to correct them. It is a test for us to go through, to see what is in our hearts. Will we be faithful to God, even in the midst of others who are not? Hopefully we can come out of the trial in victory, continuing to follow and reverencing God.

Amen !!! Whatever Is said by this person should line up with the word of God. The Bible warns us to guard our heart,as not to be deceived. satan only changed one word In the garden of Eden. He twisted God's word, just like many of the false teachers/prophets. If you're going to a church that has false teaching,Leave that church ! Don't listen to their words of flattery full of deceit,as these come from their father satan the father of all lies. Psychics, spirit guides, necromancers, soothsayers, channelers, ALL of these are from satan. ! These people can't tell you the future. I have a FREE READING for them. If you continue down this road of destruction, you're going to hell. We're warned against these things In God's word.

Just as a trivia, and an answer to your question: In the Old Testament times, if false prophets were caught with one prophecy wrong, they were stoned to death.
However, I disagree with people close-minded ("close your ears to anything that person has to say"), instead tell that person: "I will listen to you, if you listen to me talk about Jesus".

In Matthew 16:15, Jesus asks, “Whom say ye that I am?” Peter answers, “Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God,” and for this answer Peter is called “blessed.” In 2 John 9, we read, “Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.” In other words, Jesus Christ and His work of redemption is of utmost importance; beware anyone who denies that Jesus is equal with God, who downplays Jesus’ substitutionary death, or who rejects Jesus’ humanity. First John 2:22 says, “Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son.”

"Burn em! Burn em!"
hehe- no just kidding- we should NOT listen to false prophet.

We need to give ourselves the things of God not to the things of satan. Stand strong on the Word and be an ambassador of Christ.

If you live long enough you will see God taking revenge on them. "Vengeance is mine , saieth the Lord'. We don't have to do nothing but pray for their souls.

There are no true prophets. Anyone who says that they are channeling the word of God is self-deluded or a liar.
