Can you get a Jewish cat, or a Muslim fish, or a Christian Gerbil? Do animals, as they are created by 'the higher force' adhere to a religion. Any ideas?

You have brought up a very interesting question. I am not really sure how to answer it... however I suppose that I believe that an animal could technically have a religion however I don't believe that they "practice" their religion. Hmmm... you make a good point by stating that "the higher force" created all the animals so they must have a soul, which means that after they die thier soul must go somewhere... and I guess where their soul goes is based on what religion they are... you have me completely stunned by this question..

Na. My neighbour had put two pork chops out to defrost and when she went to cook them they had gone. Her husband found my sister's cat eating the last bit of one of them and her response was "thank gawd 'e's not a bleedin' muslim!" but she was not too upset. She used to buy fresh fish every day for her cat and my sister's cat and she had been ill the day before so had not bought the fish.

An animal might respond to how calm a "religious" person is, but no, they hold no beliefs of their own.

Yes, indeed. Our Lhasa Apso is a Buddhist. Her breed was the property of the Dalai Lama and bred exclusively to guard the Buddhist Temples of Lhasa (Tibet).

She has not forgotten her role.

I don't know if this is common in other parts of America, but here in Atlanta there are 'pet blessings', where owners can take their pets to church to have them blessed. Many churches hold these events 1-2 times a year.

My dachshund is an atheist, however.

In my religion, we believe that animals worship God all the time. Not how humans worship God but in their own way. As a creation of God they worship Him but do not have the mental ability to make the choice to worship or not to worship.

My cat Mr M is definitely a faithful fire worshiper. Whenever I take out my little space heater, he immediately places himself before the glow in adoration and gratitude for its radiating warmth, and virtually nothing can budge him from his enchantment with it.

I caught my dog strapping explosives to himself this morning.

Not sure what religion that would be indicative of.. I mean if I was to pick one then that could be seen as portraying that religion in a detrimental fashion.

Therefore i'll just leave it to your imagination. I mean its possible to have suicide bombers of any religion really isn't it?
