When your sitting in the waiting room of the ICU and the doctor's have just given your mother 8 units of blood after complication from a life saving surgery. The surgeon comes out and tells you that there is nothing more that they can do, you must say your goodbye's now, for she will be gone by morning. Do you accept that? Do you give up, saying the doctors know best, they have done all they can do, than do you call the mortician and plan your mothers memorial service. In tears, crying, with no comfort, no hope? That is what happened to my family two years ago. But we had hope, we had the love and the blessing of the Lord Jesus Christ, when the Doctors could do no more, the great physician could. Wow, I don't know where we would be without my mom. I praise Jesus every day for he saved my mom, when the best surgeons on the Gulf Coast could not. Glory be to Jesus, for he alone is worthy of our Praise.
You can push your dump truck full of logic all day long, for it will never compare to the Truth that is Jesus Christ.

Of course not. God does not promise he'll keep us alive. Christians die every day. One day I will, too. You are completely misrepresenting what faith means. I fail to how that proves anything in your favor. You can do better than this! It is no better of an argument than if I argued that Atheists were scared of death because there is no God. Obviously if you talk to any non-believer you will find that they do not fear death any more or any less in general than Christians do. In any case, from a Christian point of view, driving with your eyes shut won't prove you have faith. It will just give you a one-way ticket to heaven when you die in a gruesome car accident. Considering that most of us believe that we are here on earth to try to do some good, that does not seem like a very good strategy. You can't save the world when you're dead.

i think ppl are misunderstanding faith in God and being just plain stupid! the faith is knowing that your saved and will be in Gods kingdom for eternity even with never meeting God personally on earth, the faith is when faced with hard times you know God is right there with you. faith is not being stupid as far as "i will close my eyes while driving", faith is not purposely doing something harmful to yourself to see if God is gonna help you. when you start doing stuff like that, your pretty much seeking a sign just like unbelievers. we are NOT suppose to straight out try God in that way and id say if you were gonna be ignorant enough to try God and purposely do that kind of stuff then whatever happened you deserved.

In the same manner, I would like to ask YOU the same TYPE of question: Do you close the living room curtains before you sexually abuse your children?
Both questions (yours AND mine) are foolish, but yours is the question of a scoffer attempting to tear down straw men you created in the vain imagination of your heart, whereas mine was asked to demonstrate how foolish YOUR question is.
"It's better to be thought of as a fool, then to open one's mouth and remove all doubts."
Now, go clean up all the straw you knocked everywhere - it's blocking others from going by.

Actually I have wanted to do this. When the perfect song comes on the radio it would be great to do this.
I am agnostic however and I am "not sure" if this would be a good idea.

ok no. Thats not right. Your "testing" God when you do that and thats something you are not supposed to do. Its just lik...ok when you do something bad and you just go oh jesus will forgive me its ok....thats not right because you arent truly sorry.....just like with your question you arent really having faith you just wanna test God
