Perhaps. But you'd have to define what God is well enough to show evidence of that in the environment. Unfortunately, since God doesn't exist, this is hard to do.

People usually just make do with the "I can't imagine how all this came to be, therefore God exists" argument or the "Isn't this all so beautiful? Therefore, God exists" argument. They really haven't defined God well enough to be able to demonstrate the existence (or non-existence) of God in any scientific way.

The few concrete claims made about God end up being "God made trees green. This tree is green. Therefore, God exists" type claims, which are circular and have no real way of being confirmed. Or they refer to things that can't be examined, such as "God created the universe. We admit that we don't know what created the universe. Therefore, God exists" claim, or some other "God of the gaps" type argument. They also sometimes use variations, such as "God destroyed Jericho. There is some evidence of Jericho being destroyed. We don't have much information about how it was destroyed, but it seems mysterious. So, God must have done it. Therefore, God exists.", which uses both the circular and gaps argument together.

There are also many other types pseudo arguments used, but these are the main ones used which are loosely based on the environment.

There have been a lot of "proofs" for the existence of God. All of them have come from "observation" and the application of logic. There are several ways to prove something... You can prove something mathmatically, 4 has to exist, because if you put 2 and 2 together, you get 4. Scientific proofs, which are based on mathmatics and physical properties / laws. Then there are logical proofs, but these are more languid.

For instance, in order to have a design, you must have a designer.... Yes it is logical, however it might also be considered speculation, as we are here and many would say there is no proof of a designer... Plato argued something much like the above in his "first cause" argument. He said, there must have been a first cause, or we would not have been. Something must have first caused all of the motion, so to speak, that ours is derived from, the existence that ours is derived from....

Plato was using logic and was observing... So, there you go, you can do it!

Let me further say, that you can prove the Christian God exists by systematic application of Logic.

First you use Plato's first cause theory and then you use a preponderence of logic from one step to the next. i.e.

There must have been a first cause, that caused all of these things as all motion is derived and all exitence is derived, so there must have been a "God" that we derived our existence and universe it's motion from. Since God then created all things, and we have the ability to commuinicate it is logical to believe that God would commuinicate with us... so on and so forth, you bring in the Bible, predictive prophecy.

So by looking at a larger picture and using a preponderence of logic to bring the bible into the discussion, we were able to narrow it to then understand the aspects, the personality of God.

Anselm does an admirable job in the Ontological Argument.

Wow .... loads of answers in only a few minutes. In my own 'environment' I have been very sick and various complications have come along from time to time. I actually said to one nurse that 'I must have done something really bad to have God do this to me'. She said to look at it another way ' We cannot help getting sick but God may have helped by helping the doctors find the problem in time to try and do some good'.

Depends on which God you mean. If you worship Mother Nature, then no problem. Otherwise, it is only rational to believe that the scientific explanations for the existence of the world as it is are adequate without recourse to a divinity.

Whoever do I thank for the extreme beauty of nature. I don't care what you call your Maker but mine is a divine intelligence that has made all of this work perfectly. Natural disasters were created to correct imbalances and for the evolution of all species. Everything has its place and time and all is interrelated. Is that not the workings of God.
I threat those that profess to be religious with the contempt they deserve if they do not respect Creation. How can you be religious if you disrespect life, create pollution or destroy nature in your quest for financial gain.

For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, His eternal power and divine nature have been clearly seen, being undestood by what has been made, so that they are without excuse.

I'd say no, simply because we don't have a clear definition of what God is in the first place.

We can see evidence for truly remarkable things in the universe; water defies gravity for example within trees, their life's machinations draw water and nutrients up into themselves through their roots.

If there is a God, we can observe what he / she / it has created, surely, but I don't think we can observe the creator since we have no clear notion of what the creator is.

I would put it this way.

It is the inability of the natural world to explain all that we see and know combined with the ability to explain most of it by what is supposed to be revealed by God. This in itself is not a proof of God but a pointer towards it. Only if you ignore the latter can you shift the weight of evidence towards atheism.
