I am not so sure that it is a hotline, but i know it has been said that prayer is when we talk to God, Meditation is listening for the answer...
I know that when a prayer is answered, it is in Gods time, not mine....whomever or whatever you perceive your God to be..

Even the hotline is engaged sometimes so it is one sided connection on my part God is free to answer or not answer.

good hearing from you again.... I'm not so sure it is at least not for me, i always pray and thank him for what i have at any time of the day and if i need his guidance i do the same. it would be a hotline only if you pray to him when in time of need and that would be selfish because the payer would only be to fix the problems which he already knows about....

If it is addressed to God and it is from the heart then it is a hotline to God. TO address something to God you have to know Him first.
