THANK YOU! I thought I was the only person that thought like this. We don't have very many stalls, but our restroom isn't very busy. But when I'm in there There's always another stall that's one away from the one I'm occupying. I don't want to sit next to someone that's using the restroom. Why do some people think it's ok to sit less than a foot away from me while we pee? I think that's gross.

They sit next to you just in case they need to borrow toilet paper.
Here is the trick...
When you go into the bathroom, choose the stall you want... then....
go to the stalls on either side and put toilet paper all over the seat.
No one likes a messy stall that looks like it hasnt been 'cleaned' in a while...........
they will then choose another stall further away from you.

Always wondered the same thing..I have a can of "canned fart" in my purse, when an offending person moves in too clolse I hold it under their stall and spray away, then leave the bathroom gagging!
