The best luck I ever had was with a cut milo field on one side, a field full of sunflowers on another, and water on another. We killed alot of doves, over several days, at that spot.

This may sound obvious but I will say it anyway..... FIRST go to where there are a lot of doves. If there are no doves where you are hunting, you cannot make them be there. So, lets assume that you are in a place where there are a lot of doves and you want to put some in your pot. You just position yourself between their food supply and their water supply. they fly back and forth between these two locations so you will be right where you are supposed to be. Some locations allow the use of decoys. If your hunting location allows them, you can put a few out where they will be seen. They don't actually attract doves, what they do is to make the doves feel safe. You will also need a call and a tape to learn how to call them. Good hunting!

Try to hunt around a freshly harvested field of Millet of Sunflowers, and it really helps to have some type of water source near by where you intend to hunt. If you can find an area like that you are "IN"........I also have had great luck using the motorized Mojo Dove with the twirling wings. I've hunted with friends and we shot at passing Doves only to have them circle back and fly over a second time because of the Mojo decoys being there........Incredible

We have always hunted pastures of millet in Florida, sunflowers in Mississippi. Let the millet or sunflower crop grow up and then cut it down to ground level about 2 weeks prior to hunting. The doves should come in and feed in the afternoons before roosting.
