Why does God not do something to bring relief to mankind? Why should we all suffer for something that Adam did?
In the Bible, God tells us how we can avoid much suffering. He has provided the very best counsel on living. When applied, this fills our lives with meaning, results in happy family life, brings us into close association with people who really love one another, and safeguards us against practices that can bring much needless physical suffering. If we ignore that help, is it fair to blame God for the trouble that we bring upon ourselves and others?—2 Tim. 3:16, 17; Ps. 119:97-105.
Jehovah has made provision to end all suffering. He created the first human pair perfect, and he lovingly made every provision so that life would be pleasant for them. When they deliberately turned their backs on God, was God obligated to intervene so as to shield their children from the effects of what the parents had done? (Deut. 32:4, 5; Job 14:4) As we well know, married couples may have the joys that go with producing children, but they also have responsibilities. The attitudes and actions of parents affect their children. Nevertheless, Jehovah, as an expression of marvelous undeserved kindness, sent his own dearly loved Son to earth to lay down his life as a ransom, to provide relief for those of Adam’s offspring who would appreciatively exercise faith in this provision. (John 3:16) As a result, the opportunity is open to people living today to have what Adam lost—perfect human life, free from suffering, in a paradise earth. What a generous provision that is!

My explanation is that when God brings hardships he is testing our faith. We should turn to God and ask for help when in need and ask for guidance. This is how we pass with flying colours. If we turn round and say that there is no God because if there was this would never have happened then you get a big fat F! How did the disaster happen if there was no God? You could argue that the is scientific explanations for everything but who made those explanation exists?

As someone I know would say; catch on to yourself!
In other words; if this question keeps popping up in relation to God, stop asking these questions and start asking yourself whether or not God is real.
After all, if he did exist, he would have no problems being there to intervene. And I'm sure christians will come up with the excuse that "God wants us to learn lessons" - or worse; "God is punishing those people".

He never said he would, so we don't expect him to. Those who trust him know they can lean on him in these times, even if we get annoyed by the evil in the world, we know it's not God's fault. And in fact, he has promised to intervene one day, when Jesus comes back and he makes all things new.

Its all created within God and by God, where is the question of intervention.
Its like a sea fish asking,"Why Sea does not intervene during Hurricane, tornadoes" (as it has not seen sea, though it may be within sea)

He did probably intervene before these things happened. He does not make the choice for humans, He gives them a choice, what is done with that choice is the fault of humans. In other words human choice is the cause of such things.

Because he is too busy taking credit for all the "miracles" in the world like lactating virgin Mary statues, Jesus on a ham and cheese toastie, and red necks talking in tougues. All of these are proof of God. Why should he perform common magic tricks like saving children from abuse or stopping wars??

God has already sent His Son to die for the sins of the world and resurrect everyone who has ever lived. You'd think the fact that he has intervened to make sure people dont die eternally could atleast be acknowledged.
Why do we expect God to intervene when we are so unwilling to do something ourselves?

god knows! I wonder too, on a more personal level though. If things are getting really tough, I think 'surely he would help out'. It would such a minute thing for a god to do, like us picking up a dropped coin for someone, no effort at all. Seems really selfish of him not to.

There is no GOD so how can something that does not exist effect a naturally occurring problem.
As an Atheist myself I don't blame god because blaming a concept I don't believe in would be silly!
